Challenge Summary
Welcome! This contest is focused on creating designs for an inline visualforce display within a salesforce page, you need to design based on the given requirements - you will be designing a small area within a salesforce page.
In this contest, we are looking forward to your creative designs for an inline display within salesforce. This inline display will have information on product fulfillment stages will be shown below the customer information.
About this Project:
Sales reps and customers need an “At a Glance” view of products the customer has ordered as the products move through the fulfillment process (that is, as they’re “built” in a “shop”).
We want the rep and customer to be able to see a visual representation of the products as they’re built, so that they can quickly identify when the products will be done and if there are any issues that need attention in the process.
The key to winning this challenge is to truly build an “At a glance” view (using the least amount of page space) that can be consumed in a split second at which point the rep or customer will make the decision to drill deeper or move on. The viewers thought process will end up going two ways: 1) All products are progressing as expected and there is nothing I need to do - or 2) Something is slowing down “X” product(s) and I need to see what it is and see what I can do to move it along.
Example: Rough Mockup (please do not duplicate this)
Requirements:
Design a visualization of products as they move through the fulfillment process - needs to be able to display multiple products (average number is 3-7) and each product needs to have the ability to have a different number of Fulfillment stages.
Two Product Categories that all items fall info (need to group by these):
- Print Products
- Digital Products
Four states available for each product:
- Fulfillment Workflow Not Started
- Fulfillment Workflow In Progress
- Fulfillment Workflow Complete
- No Products Listed (this will be the default state)
Six items displayed for each product:
- Product Name
- Stages Complete (fulfillment stage)
- Current Stage (fulfillment stage)
- Remaining Stages (fulfillment stage)
- Estimated Product Completion Date (highlight and date push back from originally scheduled)
- Current Stage Blockers (highlight that they exist with graphics, not text)
- If “Waiting for Customer” Call this out specifically
Three states to fulfillment stages:
- Stage Not Started
- Stage In Progress
- Stage Complete
IMPORTANT!! Design Considerations:
- Since your designs will be used inline within salesforce, we don't have any fixed width for the designs.
- Make sure your designs will get adjusted in a fluid layout.
- Note that your designs will be used within the salesforce page below customer information, think on how best to display them.
- Horizontal space is limited - the best designs will minimize the height required to display the key information.
- This will also be used for a mobile display. Please keep a responsive mobile version in mind as you design.
Contest Deliverables:
The winning entry will show what multiple stages of fulfillment looks like on multiple products at once. At least one product on the design should be shown through the entire workflow process in each state including Waiting for Customer action and a date push back (please use the Example Products and Stages for at least one, but feel free to be creative). Your entry should also show how multiple products are displayed together (think 3-7 with both product categories) on the page. Please see the constraints below as they will be part of judging as well.
