Welcome to Gewitter - Page App Mobile UI Design Concepts Challenge..In this challenge, we are looking for help from topcoder community to come up with design concepts for the Page application allows the user to speak from their mobile device into selected Wireless HD enabled speakers within the network. 

About the Client:
Gewitter is an electronics company that has come to [topcoder] for our app design expertise!

For this challenge, we would like your help in designing a mobile application for the Gewitter customers. Their customers are young and tech-savvy, and often have young families. The Page reference application is a new twist on the Intercom systems of old, the Page application allows the user to speak from their mobile device into selected Wireless HD enabled speakers within their network. 

Design Guidelines:
- Looking for modern, intuitive user interface, application should be easy to use.
- We want this to look 'techie', but still friendly!
- We have included UI examples to show few design ideas - we want your own original designs for what will look and work best!
- Please show all the screens and provide a user flow/click-path so we can see how the interactions fit together in the application. 
- Please follow the design guidelines (color palette) as given in the design direction document!
- Make the screens looks like a native app..
- Will need UI for both Android and iOS using standard UI components.

Screen Sizes:
We need below sizes:
- iPhone Portrait: 640 x 1136 px
- Android Portrait: 320 x 480 px

Design Concept Goals:
How quickly could you find information?
- What is the clickpath for the application?
How easily can you find a wireless system and connect to it?
- Think simple but effective solutions! Have fun creating this - let us know how you think it should work!
- We want the user to understand what’s going on from the first glance.


Suggested Screens:
Based on the basic idea of the application, we have framed these screens - feel free to come up with any additional screens to show your design concepts

1) Gewitter Splash Screen
- Loading screen for when the user selects to use the application
- Come up with a simple logo that suits this application

2) Find Wireless Speakers:
The app will search for Wireless Speakers by their signals
Find can be done from any point in the application
When found, the new speakers can be added to the application’s list..
- Wireless Speaker name defaults to Speaker’s product name, but can be edited for a custom speaker name

3) List of Wireless Speaker System:
Show a list of available Wireless Speakers that the application has found
- What options can be shown for each of the speakers...like "Manage Speaker Settings, Broadcast, Remove Speaker", etc..
- Should we allow users to choose multiple devices and broadcast their voice?

4) Broadcast Voice:
- Allow users to broadcast their voice to the selected speakers
- Should we allow users to record/save the talk that they just broadcasted?
- It will be good to allow users to control the volume of the speaker through this app?

- Come up with any other thoughts that you think will make this application efficient.

5) Manage Speaker Settings:
- It would great to allow the user to edit wireless speakers settings
- They can be edit/indicate the rooms, zones, names, etc. of the speaker.

6) Any other screens which you suggest?


7) Presentation Screen:
- Create a presentation screen!
- Place your designs within an iPhone/Android template! Showcase your submission
- Make sure your presentation screen is included in your submission files
- 1024x768 (4:3 Ratio)

Target Audience:
A tech-savvy and busy user with a family who have different schedules..

Judging Criteria:
- How well you plan the user experience and capture your ideas visually
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design
- Your design should possible to build and make sense as a mobile application

Submission & Source Files:
Preview Image
Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG for your submission files.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file, or Adobe Illustrator as a layered AI file.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors. We may ask you to update your design or graphics based on checkpoint feedback.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
