Challenge Summary

Welcome to "Dinnaco - Counseling Matching Application Design Concepts Challenge". We need your help in planning out our new Counseling Matching application, which will become an internal portal used by our employees to connect counselor and counselees.  A counselor is a more senior employee that mentors and formally represents the counsellees (more junior employee) during performance review meetings.  The main purpose of this app is to create a tool that can provide the best method to facilitate introductions among people across the firm. We want you to focus on the UI/UX interactions and bringing clean and modern (creative) solutions to how this application should work. Background Overview
As part of an internal firm initiative, the counselor effectiveness team in our company was engaged to develop a "Matching Application" to connect counselor with counselees. The team ran with the idea and began development of the concept using three principles:
- What is the best method to facilitate introductions among people across the firm?
- What makes an ideal counselor / counselee match?
- What sort of information can we gather to enable better insights into other areas of counseling?
In this challenge, we need your creative thought to create a design concepts that are able to solve these problems. Please see more details below!!

Project Goals
The outcome of this project will be a fully functioning prototype of the Counselor Match Application that has the ability to accept user profile information and later fully integrate with internal Dinnaco systems and processes including:
- Single-Sign On
- Dinnaco Internal LinkedIn Network
- Downstream Conselor/Counsellee Match Confirmation Processes

User Stories
Counselee Process
- Counselees are encouraged to switch counselors every two to three years as a way to expand their network and build new relationships
- To help assist in that change, the Counseling Match Application can be made available to help the counselee:
-- Understand the available pool of counselors
-- Navigate the switching process
-- Connect to a counselor who they may not have met otherwise via their existing network
-- Find the 'optimal' counselor match based on a select list of criteria and preferences
- Counselee portal will be made available to current employees to assist in switching counselors
- Counselee will take assessment to assist in matching making
- Counselee will select top five counselors that will assist in the matching process

Counselor Process
- The current process for a counselee to locate a counselor is very manual and works primarily off a series of email communications, followed by a series of phone calls
- To improve upon this process, the Counseling Match Application can be made available to help the counselor:
-- View / manage capacity to take on counselees
-- See what counselees are interested in you as a counselor
-- Facilitate a smooth conversation to allow for current counselees to switch counselors
-- Find the 'optimal' counselee match based on a select list of criteria and preferences
- All counselors with capacity will be required to log-in to the portal
- Counselor will take assessment to assist in the matchmaking process
- Counselor will update their personal profile that will be shared with potential matches
- Counselor will confirm / reject matches

Talent Approval Process
- Talent will receive reports and raw data of the matching process to feed their other processes

Apps Key Features
- Facilitating Introductions - The 'matching application’ will create a new way for counselors and counselees to meet a future counselor/counselee throughout the firm, which should help alleviate current issues with switching counselors
- Matching Based on Preferences - To create the optimal match, the counselor and the counselee will take a preference survey to identify similarities in communication styles, professional interests and career goals
- Gathering Counseling Insights - The Talent teams can leverage data results from the preference surveys and selected matches to gain insights into enhancements to the existing counseling process

Screen Requirements :
- For this challenge, we are looking for the below pages to be designed/considered in your concepts.
- Feel free to Add or Modify the screen requirements to match with your design concept ideas.

Counselee Screens
01. Login Page
- There should be an area to Welcome the user and provides brief context of the apps purpose. The brief context might have a lot of information, so it might need to be split (split content using carousel, or else?)
- Login process will use client SSO for their active employees
- If SSO not working, there should be alternative ways to log in to the apps via ordinary login form

02. Counselee Homepage
- Dashboard view of the potential counselee to navigate the web portal

- There are 3 steps that they needs to be done in this process, which are :

- The counselee's preference to view the list can be changed (i.e. the counselor can determine that they want to only see 5 of 20 matches on their screen at once, so a filter criteria should be applied on how many can be seen at once)
- Show the available counselor profiles in 2 views, as a list or thumbnail view
- The user will have the ability to search counselor profiles and select the top preference for their counselor at the time (this can be changed in the future or may not be approved, so may have to change in the future)
- There is no guarantee that the top selection will be the final matched counselor due to capacity constraints or counselor selection, but this is an iterative process that the counselee will have to go through again if the counselor selected cannot be their counselor
