The Bug Races™ Competitions: The race is on, and speed is of the essence...
As we continue to look to our members to lead the way in revolutionizing software development we keep finding more things we want you involved in. We're opening up our bug fix process to the community. Over the next few months we will continue to evolve a process of communicating bugs to you, allowing you to review the bugs, choose whether or not you want to work on the task, submit the fix, review other members' fixes and test fixes.
Currently we provide a list of open items here. Subsequent additions to the Bug Race process will introduce automated registration, automated build and test validation, Online Review integration, automated payment processing and more exciting additions. We are looking to you to help us define this process, so please don't hesitate to express your ideas, opinions, suggestions, etc. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us.
How does it work?
Project teams, clients and members are able to log bugs they find in software developed and supported by TopCoder. As often as we can, we will communicate these bugs to our member community. Bugs that are open to the community will be posted on the Active Bug Races page. You've probably already noticed that this is simply an RSS feed of bugs that are logged into Jira - our issue tracking system. By clicking on a bug you will be taken to the detail of the issue where you will find more information including relevant source code, documentation and examples of how to reproduce the bug.
To work on a bug please refer to the How to Compete page for details.
Participation in the TopCoder Bug Races requires you to agree to the Contest Rules.
