September 29, 2021 September 2021: Thoughts from Adroc on Community

I keep seeing all these amazing photos and memories popping up in my feed from TCO15 Indonesia and the UI/UX workshops six years ago! What an amazing event and the first time I was able to meet so many Topcoder members in-person and of course the first of many great Topcoder events in Indonesia.

Today I would like to talk about the future! As you may have seen, there have been changes happening at Topcoder over the past few months. We are transitioning with new leadership, (say Hello to Subha!) and doubling down on the community. Our goal remains intact to grow Topcoder into the most vibrant community for our members and customers by making a positive impact through opportunities and innovation. 

I am personally excited to see Topcoder evolve again where everyone is focused on putting the community first. With our focus on ensuring you are able to grow, learn, earn and prosper here, I look forward to hearing how we have helped you be a better coder, the more experienced freelancer, and the most successful designer you can be. 

Our investment in all of you is the cornerstone for our success. 

As I head up the new Community & Marketing function at Topcoder, I will lean on the rest of the leadership team (TonyJ, cbonner, mtowmey, codedd) and others to make sure your experience at Topcoder is truly an exceptional one. I want the future of Topcoder to be bright along with your personal future. Remember we can not do this without you; the community has an essential role in our story. We will be relying on you to share your feedback, participate in challenges, help with the beta testing program, and so much more.

What does this mean for you?

All year we have talked about the many opportunities for you and that continues..

1. We have launched our new /tc page to be your new Topcoder home. All the latest news and ways to earn in one spot. (bookmark it!)
2. In October, we will have four fun platform Bug Hunts open to all with lots of prizes. 
3. In November, the 2021 Topcoder Open Finals will culminate online with a live broadcast, a virtual career fair, and opportunities to earn money and Topcoder swag. See the entire schedule here and save the dates! More information arriving in the October newsletter.
4. Finally, Stage 2 of the 2022 Topcoder Open is starting!

We are in the final stretch of 2021. I look forward to finishing out the year strong with all of you and am excited about 2022 and the possibility of finally seeing many of you in person again.
