The Marathon Match Tournament is back—Topcoder's premier competition where problem solvers push their skills to the limit in a series of intense challenges. This tournament is designed for those who thrive on tackling complex, open-ended problems and refining their solutions over time.
From February 10, 2025 to October 30, 2025, competitors will battle it out in a series of challenging Marathon Matches. The top 12 performers on the leaderboard will advance to the Championship Round—an intense, 24-hour final showdown where the champion will be crowned.
How the Tournament Works
The Marathon Match Tournament is a long-form coding competition where the journey is just as important as the destination. Here's how you can join the ranks of Topcoder's elite problem-solvers:
✅ Compete in Marathon Matches throughout the year
✅ Earn points based on your performance in each match
✅ Track your progress on the live leaderboard
✅ The top 12 competitors at the end of the year will qualify for the Championship Round
✅ Win prizes, including cash rewards, exclusive T-shirts, and bragging rights!
The competition unfolds in two critical phases for each match:
1️⃣ Provisional (Training) Phase – Refine your solutions with feedback from test cases.
2️⃣ System (Final) Testing Phase – Solutions are evaluated on hidden test cases to determine your final ranking.
The top 12 competitors will advance to the Championship Round, a 24-hour, real-time coding battle, where a single complex problem will determine the 2025 Marathon Match Champion!
