Challenge Overview
Hestia customers need a tool to manage groups of products that are ordered frequently. Enhancing the current Favorites list to allow customers to organize products into personalized lists provides that needed tool. To not confuse the customer with the browser's "favorites" and to adhere to conventions that have been established by B2C sites, the name of this functionality will be changing to "My Lists".
My Lists uses a "folder" concept where the user can give a folder a name and add as many products to that folder as desired. Sub-folders can also be named and added to folders. Customers can drag and drop the folders to organize them in the order they prefer.
Products can be added to "My Lists" from myriad sources:
To continue the purchase process, customers add products from My List to their cart. Products in entire categories, in just the sub-categories, or individually may be added to the cart. To complete the purchase, the established order or quote process occurs.
Categories and products remain in My List until the customer deletes them.
This component provides data access for Favorites functionalities.
