Challenge Overview
GCMS is a tool that creates and manages contract documents such as OL [Offer letter] and COA [Certification of Acceptance] for IBM Global Financing.
Global Contract Management System (GCMS) is a work flow application for creating and handling customer leasing contracts. The application uses Axis 1.4 as the communications man-ager to send web service request and receive web service responses from its client, a java 1.6 windows application, to its WebSphere Application Server(WAS)v7.0. The request and response are XML documents wrapped in a SOAP envelope.
RV rule or logic : In GCMS, we commonly refer to the process of matching a specific machine Type/Model (T/M) on the COA to a line in the quote as the RV logic
The objective of this competition is to support: currently to process RV rules, we are Invoking ICFS tables through JDBC call ,now we are going to provide this service by using web services for some of the RV rules depending on some condition.
GCMS will execute these rules [RV rules] in ascending order to find the corresponding match for a Type/Model (T/M) on the configuration (e.g. Type/Model (T/M) entered by use is 9406/820) to a Type/Model (T/M) in the quote.
