Challenge Summary
This contest is to design a promo banner for the 2009 TopCoder Open, using the logo and storyboards provided for inspiration.
The banner will be shown on various pages on the TopCoder site, so we are asking for you to submit your design in three (3) different sizes.
The 2009 TopCoder Open is the premier event at TopCoder. This event showcases the talent of our top members from all over the world as they compete for top prizes and prime bragging rights. We need these banners to announce the beginning of this prestigious event.
Entries must be your original work, and must not infringe on the copyright or licenses of others. Stock art, clip art, templates and other design elements from other sources are prohibited unless specifically permitted here in the Contest Details.
These banners will be used to announce the start of the 2009 TopCoder Open. This is the beginning of the excitement for this prestigious event and members and clients alike will be looking for the announcement. Let's start the excitement! Required Sizes Your submissions should include one each of the these three sizes: 510px x 54px 536px x 121px 340px x 76px Required Content The banner should include: - The TCO09 Logo - Any elements from the provided storyboards - The text, "The All New 2009 TopCoder Open" and "Now featuring NINE Competitions!" The design is completely up to you. If you choose to have a white background, the banner should be outlined in some manner for when it is used on white backgrounds. Optional Content This year, we're asking members to submit videos that we will be first displaying on our YouTube Channel, and then ultimately at the TCO itself. You may add something about this new addition, but it is not required. Judging Criteria Your submission will be judged on the following: - How well is fits with the look and feel of the TCO09 - How well the banners work at each size - How well it conveys the excitement and importance of the TCO. Preview Image Your preview image should clearly show all three banners together with no added effects or skewing.
