Challenge Summary

Design a single screen 900X350 pixel message that includes text and graphics. The "Get Started" message will be displayed inside a widget in TopCoder Direct. It needs to get the user interested and excited about getting the best graphic design and software development work done through the TopCoder community. This is the first thing new TopCoder clients will see before they launch a Studio contest. Show them the quality of design work they can expect from our community!

Entries must be your original work, and must not infringe on the copyright or licenses of others. Stock art, clip art, templates and other design elements from other sources are prohibited unless specifically permitted here in the Contest Details.

This design should help new users get a quick look at how to get started using TopCoder Direct. The text of the "Get Started" message should be matched with interesting icons/graphics. The main points can be graphical, but the subtext should be in Arial and no bigger than 11 pt. The subtext will be coded as actual text, not graphics, within the widget. Design Requirements - You must place your design within the template. Your design should not exceed the green placeholder box. Remove the placeholder box layer before submitting your design. - Do not use any graphics/icons you have not created yourself. - The design should utilize graphics and colors that match the overall look and feel of TopCoder Direct and the widgets (see attached template). Please use any new colors that contrast well with the red/black/grey color scheme of the page. However, your design MUST be on a white background with no borders. Main Message This message should be prominently shown.

Main Points The headers of these three topics should be prominent, with the supporting text smaller and cleanly shown. Do not use graphical effects on the supporting text as they will be coded as text. Just use Arial at 10 or 11 pt.

ScreenShots Please feel free to use small versions of one or both of the widget screenshots we've attached to this contest if you feel they will add something interesting to your design. Only use these if your design can remain clean and crisp. Branding DO NOT add the Studio or TopCoder logos to your design. Target Audience New and existing TopCoder clients. Anyone who wants to launch their own contests -- could be large corporate users or small "mom and pop" business owners. Judging Criteria Your design will be judged on how well you've conveyed the main points. Remember, we're looking for something clean and interesting. You will also be judged on how well the design contrasts with the rest of the page while also being interesting and attention-getting.
