Proposal Long & Foster is looking for unique designs, layouts and graphics based on the data and functionality listed in the iRealtor Concept Document (Concept_Document.pdf). Overview This product will be a portal based website. The website will consist of widgets that may be physically moved around the page and then inherit the CSS qualities of the new location on the page. This is an attempt to improve usability and marketing through personalization of the website for Long & Foster. The site will require an administrator login (administrator rights), to allow users (real estate agents) the ability to manipulate and modify their websites based on their needs. Target Audience The portal website will have real estate agents as site owners who will use the site to attract the following three target users: - Prospective Property Buyers - Prospective Property Sellers - Existing Customers Real estate agents will use some or most of the widgets created to meet this goal. The portal website will also be used by office managers who will use this site to: - Recruit potential real estate agents - Market to Prospective Property Buyers - Market to Prospective Property Sellers - Market to Existing Customers Detail Requirements Goals for iRealtor - What we want iRealtor to offer: - Available Homes on Sale - Reasons why customers would want to work with that particular agent/office. - Resources that the site offers that make customers visit the site on a regular basis. - Increased SEO - Communicate to prospective customers that the agent is viable, resourceful and has a lot to offer. Each element needs to be a widget. The widgets should be navigable around the page. This should appear editable only to the Site owner and not the site user. The site owner here is the real estate agent, and the site user is a customer. Homepage Requirements - Site Logo and Branding (Logo) - Site Title (agent or office name) - Login for Site Owner - Quick Search (see Concept_Document.pdf) - Site Owner Photo - Featured Listings (see Concept_Document.pdf) - Bio - Placeholder for Ads - Today's Mortgage Rates - Copyright - Site Navigation (see Concept_Document.pdf) - The structure of the GUI should be flexible so that widgets can be moved around and adjusted on the page. Widgets and page size should be flexible enough to adjust to all browsers and configuration. Design Considerations - Conceptualizing the information (layout) - Showing an intuitive interface (usability) - Creating a clean, simple and professional design that does not feel "cramped" or "stuffy" (creativity and design) - The use of Widgets and how they interact within your layout Judging Criteria Your submission will be judged on how well the design goals stated in this document were met and exceeded. Also how innovative and exciting the overall storyboard design presents itself. Preview Image Your preview image should one storyboard of your choice with no added effects or skewing.
