Tagle is building an exciting new system to make organizing and searching the large volumes of data we all deal with on a daily basis much easier.
The goal of this contest is to design a compelling site to show users the advantages of Tagle and entice them to download and try it out. The design will consist of an interactive home page presenting video introductions to Tagle as well as a design for the secondary pages on the site.
The logo used on the current pages and the content of the home page need to remain the same, but the rest of the design is up to you. We're looking for you to be creative and come up with a compelling design that really showcases the Tagle system.

Primary Goals
The primary goal of this competition is to produce an engaging, compelling design for the Tagle site. The design should focus on converting browsers into customers.
The key elements of this contest are:
- Home page design - the home page should include primary elements of the current mockup included in the contest inputs. The design should be attractive and focused on enticing users to try out Tagle. The current layout in the mockup should serve as a guide but submitters are encouraged to improve the design.
Key elements are:
- Download bar
- Features list
- Video demonstrations - the video demo list should keep a similar tabbed configuration where each heading loads a new video in the window to the right.
- Secondary page template - this template should be able to apply to the other pages on the site including download, forums, latest news, and support. The design will be integrated into a Drupal theme so the design should provide coverage of the elements that are likely to appear on the secondary pages.
Competitors will be provided screenshots of the current Tagle site.
Target Audience
Users who registered for Tagle's private beta test responded to a market survey that collected their demographics and primary needs for managing information. Results were also combined with data from similar surveys researched on the internet.
The respondants were primarily male (80%+) between the ages of 22 and 55 with a mean age of 35 and the majority between 27 and 42. They work in small to large office environments with a corporate hierarchy ranging from independent consultant or base level worker on up to middle management.
Typically they receive at least 50 emails per day with their primary business software tools being Microsoft Outlook, Windows Explorer, and Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. They are accustomed to structuring information in some way with folders, but frustrated with it, and use solutions such as Desktop Search and Personal Information Management (PIM) software to help.
Almost half use consumer web applications such as Google Gmail and Facebook to manage personal communications and most are moderately tech savvy.
Branding Guidelines
The Tagle logo should not be modified. Fonts and colors should be selected to provide a clean design that fits well with the look of the logo.
An SVG format (www.inkscape.org) logo file is attached to this contest so competitors can change the size of PNG images embedded in the site. The logo font type and color should NOT be changed.
Reference Designs
The Site will have a very clean and functional ("Googley") look and feel. Navigation fonts should be easy to find, but not distract the user from the main content. A key value proposition of Tagle is that it makes it much faster to find and organize information, so the website needs to be very well organized and the content easy to find.
Some of these design principles are outlined in this article; submitters are encouraged to keep these in mind while working on their designs.

www.lastpass.com did an excellent job both on their product UI and their website. Everything is simple and it works. We would like to see the same kind of simplicity and elegance for www.tagle.it
