Challenge Summary

The goal of this contest is to create four (4) storyboards for a rotating Flash area that will be on the homepage of the ChumBonus website. This rotating Flash area will serve as an introduction of the site to its visitors. It will be the first thing visitors see on the site, and must be well designed, professional, and compelling! It must clearly communicate what this site is all about.
The storyboards you are designing will display one at a time in the designated area on the homepage of the ChumBonus site (see Site). The Flash rotation will be implemented in an upcoming contest, but it will automatically cycle through each of the four (4) storyboards, or allow users to click the tabs on the right of the area. The tabs are included in what you are designing for this contest. In the flash rotator, the first tab is an introduction to ChumBonus and describes in four steps how it works and the following 3 tabs highlight the three main users of the site. The Storyboards: Intro Tab 1. What is it? This intro is the most important because it introduces visitors to ChumBonus.
  • It should clearly and quickly communicate what the site is all about, and compel visitors to use the site.
  • The basic idea is that this screen would display the four steps, using two animations from the ChumBonus video and two graphics to describe money and charity/causes/saving the planet.
  • We have provided imagery for the animation graphics (images.zip)
  • You are required to make the tabs on the right and make them different for each of the four rotations.

2. Clients You may use some or all of the following copy on this storyboard: Someone out there knows the person you need to hire. The question is how to get that person to act and the answer is ChumBonus. As a Hiring Manager, Recruiter or HR Specialist, you know the best hire is a referral and together we will drive referrals to your job openings. Post jobs for free. Set a bonus amount you are willing to pay the referrer and let the crowd do the heavy lifting. Pay only when you have a successful hire. No posting fees, no subscriptions. 3. Referrers You may use some or all of the following copy on this storyboard: Who do you know? We are willing to bet that you have friends who want or need a new job.We will also bet you know what they do.Could you use a little extra money.Any causes or charities you are interested in supporting? ChumBonus Help your friends get a new job Earn a Bonus Support your causes 4. Charities You may use some or all of the following copy on this storyboard: Charities need support now more than ever but donations are down. ChumBonus provides a way to drive donations to charities without them having to expend effort, resources or sign contracts. Referrers who successfully help their Chums get a new job are highly encouraged to donates some of their bonus money to the charity of their choice. Charities can increase their donation potential by letting their donor base know about ChumBonus and encouraging them to select their charity when they register. General Notes
  • Each storyboard must include the tabs on the right. Each storyboard's respective tab must be in an "on state". In the final implemented Flash version, each of the 4 tabs would be clickable to advance the image to that tab.
  • Since we want users to interact with this rotator by clicking the tabs, make the tabs fairly prominent so users will not miss them.
  • Each storyboard, including the tabs, must be 980px wide and 300px tall.
  • The design and colors of your storyboards should look good within the provided page storyboard (homepage.png)
  • You do not have to use all of the provided imagery or copy.
  • Although the final version of this rotator will be in Flash, the only animation will be the switching of the static images. That is, the storyboards you are designing are the final images and they will be displayed statically. Animation will not be added to each storyboard.
  • These designs should be fun, compelling, and creative!

Your Submission
  • Each storyboard you design should be placed onto the provided homepage storyboard so we can see your designs in context.

Your Preview File
  • Your preview file should be the same as the first (intro tab) storyboard in your submission. That is, the intro tab image placed on the provided homepage storyboard.
