Challenge Summary

Teens are obviously important to our business. They are enormously influential consumers of technology, and as employees they are a major piece of our organization. But we also recognize how important they are to our community, to our society, to our world. We believe in teens. Through @15, we want to make the most of the unique relationship we already have with them, by virtue of who we are as a company and what we do, to listen to them, support them, and help provide opportunities for them when too few others are. The mission of @15 is to recognize, understand, and fuel that power. Not direct it, but fuel it. We created a place online, at15.com, where teens can develop and share their own points of view on the world and how to change it, and give them the means to make change. The @15 Change Exchange launched this year allowing teen members of at15.com to direct $1 million of Best Buy dollars to the charity partners they believe in most. Teens collect points to fuel change by participating in activities on at15.com such as completing the latest IMO (In My Opinion) Survey, answering the Question of the Moment or writing a blog. How do you help create awareness of at15.com and drive teen enrollment? Would you change activities on at15.com, recommend a social networking application or maybe a texting campaign? The sky's the limit. Just keep in mind the teen demographic; for example many may not be able to afford the latest iPhone.
Challenge Tell us your idea for driving teens (age 13-17) to at15.com and enrolling as a member of the site and keep them coming back. Your idea should include point earning opportunities for participation in the @15 Change Exchange. The contest will be judged on how effective and original your idea is in engaging teens. The top 5 ideas will be posted on at15.com for teens to vote and select their favorite. Things you should know - At15.com fully launched in January 2009, so many teens are not aware of it - Want application live by August 1 to tie in with the Back to School time of year Links www.at15.com Contest Submissions Requirements Idea-Interface.jpg - One Screen that conveys how you think the interface will look.
