Challenge Summary

Ferguson is looking to rework their corporate website. One of the main goals of the Ferguson website is to drive Customers to the Ferguson Stores/Showrooms by allowing Ferguson.com users the ability to find showroom locations quickly and to view useful information about the particular store. The goal of this contest is to design a simple to use website which will allow users to find Ferguson stores near their current location. They will be able to view locations, get driving directions and view Store/Showroom specific information. This contest will be run in the Studio Tournament format. Please read the contest specification and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this contest. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.
Studio Tournament Format This competition will be run as a two-round tournament with a total prize purse of $1500. Round One (1) At the end of Round One, Ferguson will choose FIVE (5) review winners; each will win $50 and a Design Review. These winners and any member who had a passing submission in Round One will be eligible to compete in Round 2 for the additional $1250 in prizes. Round Two (2) Round 2 will start with the announcement of the Five $50 Round 1 winners and the posting of their design reviews in the contest forum. ------------------------------------------------------------------ We are now in Round 2 Congratulations Round 1 Winners on your $50 Prizes: 20261 - lunarkid 20311 - RatsOnParade 20319 - iamtong Round 2 Project Comments/Updates - Nice job everyone - The designs were simple and clean! Location Results Page - Ferguson location name should be a link - Instead of Ferguson Waterworks use Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Showroom - Look at google maps and see if there are any interactions we need to consider (fly outs, hovers) - Page will not be able to paginate - please insert a JQuery type scroll/iframe (not a browser scroll/iframe) - show up to 5 locations at all times. - Please change the Ferguson location icon (something other then the Ferguson logo "elbow") - If you were to think of this as a two column layout (left side thin column, right side larger column) reduce the size of the Locations Finder Search to fit above the Showroom Results (and move the map up). Adjust the column sizes accordingly. (adjust for all pages) - Insert the correct footer Location Showroom - Apply the column/search idea mentioned above - Instead of Ferguson Waterworks use Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Showroom - This page will have a Showroom Picture up near the name on the left - No need for a New Search button on this page, use "Back to Results" - We need a link to the Showroom Consultant process (Book your Showroom Consultation) - The map will be proportional smaller on this page as it more about the showroom and the showroom photo. - Need an area for Video (maybe a promotional video about that showroom) - Insert the correct footer Driving Directions - Need print features - Instead of Ferguson Waterworks use Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Showroom - Adjust layout for smaller search box - Insert the correct footer Locations Advanced Search - Include Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico - Adjust layout for smaller Search Box - Insert the correct footer Just think of the user flow and if your missing anything and look at google maps to see if there are any additional functions to consider. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Overview Ferguson has been holding a series of contest to update their website.
