Challenge Summary

The goal of this contest is to come up with the most innovative and intuitive design for a website dedicated to setting and tracking savings goals. The design will consist of both an enrollment page and a tracking page. The data required to enroll is set, but the mechanisms used for tracking are completely open, so be creative!
Target Audience The target audience for this site is any consumer banking customer who has trouble saving money. They are people who appreciate the discipline of working toward a goal and welcome tools to help them stay on track. Also, to them, being rewarded once reaching their goal is very important. This tends to be people who are on strict budgets or are new to managing their money. However, it will be offered to all consumers, so it should not be overly tailored to any specific demographic. Design Considerations Enrollment Page - Tools will be provided to help users determine a realistic goal - Users will be able to name their goal - Users will be able to select a target amount for their goal - Users will be able to select a target date for their goal - Users will receive a reward if they meet their goal (both date and amount) - Reward should be readily communicated to customer before enrollment - Reward should scale relative to the length and amount of savings - Users will be encouraged to save at a higher rate - Users will be able to open a new account or enroll an existing account The minimum target amount is $150 and can go up to any amount. The target date can be anywhere between 6 and 60 months out. You can assume that determining the bank where the new or existing savings account will be housed is out of scope. Also, determining how to encourage the customer to save at a higher rate is completely up to you. Tracking Page - Users will be able to track their progress toward their goal - Users will be able to see if they are ahead of or behind their savings track - Users will be able to modify parameters of their goal (amount, date, reward) - Users should be encouraged to continue saving The metrics and method of display are entirely up to you. You can include graphs, charts, text, etc. As there is no description attached to the submission, the screen should be as self explanatory as possible without the use of tool tips. You can assume that the user must log in to the site to track their progress. Login and administration is out of scope and should not be included on this page. An additional screen detailing the edit goal screen may be submitted. Winning Criteria The winners will be decided based on the creativity and intuitiveness of their design. Look and feel of the site will not be important, only features and functionality.
