The first interactive item is going to be the "Style Quiz". The Style Quiz is going to help user's identify what type of design style they prefer. The goal of this contest is to design and develop some initial storyboards based on the provided Ferguson.com design. Ferguson is a leading distributor of plumbing supplies and pipes, valves and fittings (PVF) as well as heating and cooling equipment (HVAC). This contest will be run in the Studio Tournament format. Please read the contest specification and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this contest. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Round Two (2) Round 2 will start with the announcement of the Five $50 Round 1 winners and the posting of their design reviews in the contest forum. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ We are now in Round 2 Congratulations Round 1 Winners on your $50 Prizes: 20802 - gh3ablo 20876 - iamtong 20884 - abedavera 20888 - RatsOnParade Overall Feedback - On the results page, add a "print results" and "request a showroom appointment" link - Add a person to help draw the viewer into the experience (see the Request a Showroom design) - Attached to the contest are real images for the Style Quiz Please number each image in the order they should be viewed! Nice job! Good luck in Round 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Overview In this contest you will take the provided storyboards and create your Style Quiz design based on the provided requirements. Style Quiz Requirements: The Style Quiz will be a modal window or additional page possibly built in Flash or Javascript. (Let us know your thoughts) Step 1: First page of the Style Quiz - Tagline: What style are you?, What's your style? (open to your suggestions) - Small marketing blurb about the style quiz - Images that introduce/sell the style quiz (intro page) Step 2-10: Second page of the Style Quiz - User selects from a series of images that have been given ratings (10 questions) - After the 10 selections are made the user is presented with their preferred style: Traditional, Transitional, or Contemporary (or a mix of designs) Last Step: Storyboard that shows your "Style" - "My Stye is" "You like the Traditional Style" (open to your suggestions) - User sees their "Style" name - Paragraph explaining their style - Photo representative if their style - Product selection based on their style Interaction Example: When a user hovers over an image they get an indication to click the image- when they click an image the screen changes to the next "set" of images. The most important aspect of this page is providing a very easy to understand user experience. The user should not have to think about what to click, where to go or how to find information. They should be focused on the information displayed and not the interactions themselves. What we are looking for: 1) A good start to how the Style Quiz should look, work and interact with the user. 2) We are open to your suggestions and ideas 3) The business saw this interaction and would like something similar (Sample Link) Design Considerations - Make a fun Style Quiz! - Showing an intuitive interface - Creating a clean, simple and professional design. Visitors to the side include: - Homeowner/Consumer/Remodeler - Professionals (HVAC, Waterworks, Commercial, Residential, Industry & Specialty) - Vendors - Investor - Career-seeker - Associate - People curious about Ferguson Stock Photography Watermarked comp photography from istockphoto.com is allowed in this contest. Other iStockPhoto artwork is not allowed. 3) Be sure to keep the watermark intact.
