Challenge Summary

Long & Foster is the largest real estate company in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US - a convenient, single stop for home and business insurance needs. Long & Foster will soon be launching their Insurance Town - a fun, interactive Insurance shopping experience to help set them apart from competitors. The goal of this contest is to produce wireframes that accurately capture the requirements and information flow so designers can create the UI screens needed to build the experience.

Round 1

At the end of Round 1 Long & Foster will choose five (5) Round 1 winners, each will win $50 and a Design Review. These winners and any member who had a passing submission in round one will be eligible to compete in Round 2 for the additional $1000 in prizes.

Challenge For this contest, you will be helping Long & Foster visualize their concept of their Insurance Town. This will be an interactive page on their website that will graphically depict a town with various items that can be insured by Long & Foster. Hovering and clicking on certain items will give the user more details about how Long & Foster can help them. The town should encourage user participation. Goals Based on the requirements provided, you will need to wireframe all required aspects of Insurance Town. We are looking for you to meet the requirements stated and evaluate the flow and overall user experience. You are encouraged to add anything that you feel will enhance the overall excitement without sacrificing usability. Your wireframes need to include not only the interactions within Insurance Town, but how Insurance Town will be integrated within the Long & Foster website. You will be building off of the Concept Storyboard designs that have already been completed to produce wireframes for the fully-integrated website. Requirements The requirements document and concept storyboards are available for download. Target Audience This site will be used as both a sales and marketing tool to both potential and current client base and will set an example to agencies and carriers alike in the industry. Wireframe Resources Wireframes on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_site_wireframe Wireframe software option: www.axure.com Example Wireframe: http://www.gdoss.com/web_info/web-site-wireframe.php Wireframe Requirements Wireframes can be built in HTML, Axure (listed above), MS Visio or OmniGraffle. The resulting files are not critical in this contest. The most important point is that all the content is listed and the pages are linked together to show page flow. Pages must be linked together as a clickable resource. Judging Criteria Your submission will be judged on the following criteria: - How well your wireframes provide a consistent user flow - How well you implement the required data and any suggestions, interactions and user flow you recommend (provide any notes or comments for the client) Contest Deliverables Round One First draft all wireframes for client feedback. This first draft must be complete enough for the client to fully evaluate the entire page flow for each section. Incomplete wireframes will not be eligible for any Round One prizes. Round Two Final completed Wireframes The client may add additional requirements based on Round 1 results and decisions made between now and the start of Round 2. You must submit all requested deliverables to be considered for prizes - you may submit more if necessary to explain your solution. Submission & Source Files Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. You are free to resize or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections. Submission File All Requested Contest Submission Requirements stated above. Source Files All original source files of the submitted ideas. Final Fixes As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify content or user click paths.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.
