The Community Maps project is an innovative idea for building interactive communities around socially relevant mapping data and features. The community platform will include social networking tools that will enable the community to bond, grow and self regulate. The platform will also provide mechanisms to promote measurement, level-up goals, peer rating tasks, and a framework for incentives like prizes. Each community will create its own concept of roles, responsibilities, and entitlements that associate people, and process steps.
The main objective of this application is to create a map community platform that allows creation of communities around a particular type of content that is tied to the map. The map community platform will provide a data collection framework that will enable collecting geospatial data in an inexpensive manner.
The goal of this contest is to produce Storyboards that accurately capture the Community area requirements from the previously developed Wireframes.

We also like the simplicity and feel of ning.com.
Additional details for the View Maps page will be provided prior to the start of Round 2.
The most important aspect of this contest is designing a very easy to understand user experience. The user should not have to think about what to click, where to go or how to find information. They should be focused on the products displayed and not the interactions themselves.
Stock Photography
Watermarked comp photography from istockphoto.com is allowed in this contest. You must follow these instructions or your submission will fail screening:
1) You must include a completed Third Party Content worksheet. It belongs with your Submission folder/zip file -- NOT your Source folder/zip file.
2) Only use photos, and only use them from iStockPhoto. Other iStockPhoto artwork is not allowed.
3) Be sure to keep the watermark intact. If the image is cropped in such a way that the watermark is not visible, please be sure to include the entire image in your source files so we can see that it is a comp image from iStockphoto.com.
