Challenge Summary

Your deliverable for this contest will be 14 screens, complimentary to the home page design attachment.

Round 1

At the end of Round 1, the customer will choose up to five (5) Round 1 winners, each will win $100 and a Design Review.

Round 2

Round 2 will start with the announcement of up to five (5) $100 Round 1 winners and their Design Review from the customer.
Contest Outline - Website Design Storyboard Your deliverable for this contest will be the design storyboard of 14 screens, complimentary to the home page design attachment. Contest outline, details and logo are also attached. In addition some sample photos are attached to be used as backgrounds/design elements, if you choose to as part of your design. CONTACT US - 2 screens When a user clicks "Contact Us" they will be navigated to this page. This page to include The Yard Group's basic contact info (address/ph/fax, etc) as well as a basic electronic contact us form - please see Contest Details attachment for more information PAGE 1 - Contact us form PAGE 2 - Thank you page LOCAL SERVICE PROVIDER SEARCH - 3 screens A user can do a search for local member companies within The Yard Group family. They can input their zip code or choose to use an interactive map. When they have started the search, their results should be displayed on a new page. This page should show results based on search with the results being clickable links to local member websites - please see Contest Details attachment for more information - search link on all pages, in the footer (as shown in home page design) PAGE 1 - show zip code search AND interactive map PAGE 2 - search results PAGE 3 - "no results" page with link to contact us form OR the form itself REGISTRATION - 4 screens New Registration - This allows a user to register by clicking on Signup Now button/link. The user has the option to register as a client or a member. Client Registration - When a user chooses to signup for client registration, they are navigated to a real-time, secure registration page that includes sign-up info - please see Contest Details attachment for more information Member Registration - When a user chooses to signup for member registration, they are navigated to a simple contact us form, as we will not offer member online tools/true registration for this particular release, however we do not want to lose their contact info/interest in our company - please see Contest Details attachment for more information PAGE 1 - Pick client or Member PAGE 2 - Client registration form PAGE 3 - Member contact us form (with message at the top) - NOTE: this does NOT create log-in credentials, therefore we will not have any registered, functional member users at this phase PAGE 4 - confirmation screen (this confirms registration has been completed successfully - should have a "log-in now" button within the screen so the user can immediately log-in after registering) SECURE LOG-IN - 3 screens Secure Login - This allows a user to login by entering their username and password. The user has the option to login as a client or a member (note: member login will not be a functional aspect of this release, therefore if a user chooses member login they should be navigated to page 4 referenced above). PAGE 1 - Pick client or member and enter username/pass (although log-in ust be functional for either client or member, we will not have any registered members at this phase - see note below) PAGE 2 - Client Welcome screen - this page should welcome client by name (ex. "Welcome Mr. Smith") and should have a brief message and large online tool icons w/ titles. ONLINE ICONS MUST INCLUDE: SCHEDULING, PROPERTY HISTORY, SERVICE HISTORY, ACCOUNT STATEMENTS, FAQ/HELP PAGE 3 - Error login page with links to FAQs/Contact and "forgot" link NOTE: If user picks "Member" and attempts to login - they should land on the member contact us form, as we will not have actual member registrations until much later phases. FAQ/HELP - 2 screens A user should be able to access from any page. This page should include an online index to allow the user to search FAQ and Help topics; if they need further assistance the contact us information should be readily available FAQS/HELP should include a search bar, FAQS and index of help topics Need at least the following: PAGE 1 - main FAQ/Help page (should include a search bar, Index of topics/FAQS) PAGE 2 - example FAQ/help text in help article format (use LOREM dummy text) JUDGING CRITERIA How well the user experience is for the non-technical user How unique and innovative are the interactions. How well all the design and content requirements are met. PREVIEW IMAGE Please create your preview image as 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi with the 970px template design placed within it. You are free to resize or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections. SUBMISSION ZIP FILE JPG or PNG screens based in RGB color mode at 72dpi. SOURCE ZIP FILE All design source files saved as layered PSD, AI or EPS. FINAL FIXES As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify color and other minor design elements.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
