Challenge Summary

The Community Maps project is an innovative idea for building interactive communities around socially relevant mapping data and features. The community platform will include social networking tools that will enable the community to bond, grow and self regulate. The platform will also provide mechanisms to promote measurement, level-up goals, peer rating tasks, and a framework for incentives like prizes. Each community will create its own concept of roles, responsibilities, and entitlements that associate people, and process steps. The main objective of this application is to create a map community platform that allows creation of communities around a particular type of content that is tied to the map. The map community platform will provide a data collection framework that will enable collecting geospatial data in an inexpensive manner. The goal of this contest is to produce Wireframes to capture the Community area requirements and user flow so the client and Studio designers have a clear understanding of what needs to be designed and built. You will be using the Conceptualization Specification document for your information, which contains details of the application. The specific areas to be addressed are outlined below.
Goal For this contest you will be using the Conceptualization Document for your information. This document contains all of the requirements for the application. You are expected to evaluate the information presented and define the user flow and experience to accurately present the information. Admin Tool You will wireframe the Admin Tool section of the Community Maps application. The Admin Tool is the application for community owners as well as for Super Admins (employees of the CLIENT) to perform admin functionality. Community owners will use the tool to manage their communities, create new data schemas, define workflows for new content, etc. Super Admins will use the tool for reporting purposes and to get an aggregate view of communities and their activity. The Admin Tool will have the same look and feel as the Community Tool wireframed in previous competitions. For this contest, you should treat them as the same tool and make sure to integrate the pages in your wireframes with the pages in the existing wireframe. Refer to the following sections of the Requirements Specification: Any requirements that are red in the document are considered out of scope for the application build at this time. However, they need to be included in the wireframes. Please include this functionality but denote it in some way as out of scope in your files (color, notes, etc). Required Pages: 4.4.44 Manage Integration with other Social Networks 4.4.45 Manage Community Incentives 4.4.46 Process Content Versions 4.4.47 Get Statistics Reports 4.4.52 Process Problematic Communities 4.4.54 Manage Templates 4.4.55 Rate Communities 4.4.56 Manage All Incentives Every page must have space reserved for advertising content. The flow should include admin features as separate apps like a control panel that are grouped in categories. Very simple, very clean. If someone could do better than Ning in terms of simplicity and utility we would love that. Target User Community creators and owners (admins) as well as Super Admins (internal CLIENT employees). Wireframe Considerations The most important aspect of this application is providing a very logical and ordered user experience. The user should not have to think about how to find information. Wireframe Resources Wireframes on Wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_site_wireframe Wireframe software option:http://www.axure.com Example Wireframe:http://www.gdoss.com/web_info/web-site-wireframe.php Wireframe Requirements Wireframes can be built in HTML, Axure, MS Visio or OmniGraffle. The resulting files are not critical in this contest. The most important point is that all the content is listed and the pages are linked together to show page flow. Pages must be linked together as a clickable resource. Judging Criteria Your submission will be judged on the following criteria: - How well your wireframes provide a consistent user flow - How accurately and intuitively the data is represented - How well you implement the required data and any suggestions, interactions and user flow you recommend (provide any notes or comments for the client) Contest Deliverables Final completed Wireframes of all required areas, detailed above. You must submit all requested deliverables to be considered for prizes - you may submit more if necessary to explain your solution. Submission & Source Files Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. You are free to resize or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections. Submission File All Requested Contest Submission Requirements stated above. Source Files All original source files of the submitted ideas. Final Fixes As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify content or user click paths.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.
