Challenge Summary

Studio is a great place for designers to compete head to head on a number of exciting and creative projects. We're looking for a t-shirt design that embodies Studio and its members to hand out to clients and members. The shirt should be eye-catching and artistic.
The goal of this contest is to design a creative t-shirt that encompasses all that Studio is. Concept, creativity and composition will be taken into consideration for this contest. Design Considerations You can design anything from an abstract illustration to a cartoon with a tagline about Studio. The winning shirt will be something Studio members will want to wear again and again, and something "cool" that makes other people admire the shirt or ask questions about Studio. It doesn't have to literally "explain" Studio or otherwise try to put what Studio is inside a box. It should leave a person with the impression that amazing design work come from Studio. Shirt Design Requirements - For this contest, you will only be designing the back of the shirt. The front of the shirt will contain the Studio logo and website address in the upper left chest of the shirt. Please do not change the front of the shirt. - Please use template provided. Your design cannot exceed the design area. - You may only use the colors listed below. Also follow the font requirements and vector requirements. These are very important. - You my use the Studio logo on the back of the shirt, but this is not required. We'd rather have a good design concept that doesn't use the logo than a poor concept that tried to incorporate the logo. Target Audience The target audience includes Studio members and clients. The shirt should also appeal to a broad audience who enjoy good design work. We want people asking, "Wow - where did you get that shirt?" Judging Criteria You will be judged on the quality of your t-shirt design. Above all, the design must be excellent! Does it show the quality of creativity you will find at Studio? Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place your submissions within it. You are free to resize or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections. Submission File All requested Contest Deliverables in JPG or PNG file format in RGB color mode (remember to save it in RGB!) at 72dpi using the provided template. Source Files All source files in CMYK color mode in VECTOR format provided as layered AI or EPS files. Final Fixes As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify colors or the text (fonts or wording). PRIZE NOTE: The winner of this contest will not only win $400 but the very first Studio T-shirt!
