Challenge Summary
Hestia is looking to update their application icons and buttons. The icons and buttons have been designed at different times over the years and are not a cohesive set.
For this contest will be asking you to design new icons and buttons based on the current graphic sizes.
Contest Details The goal of this contest is to design the user interface icons and buttons for the Hestia Web Application. You should REDESIGN the icons and buttons - we are looking for a more unified Hestia user interface. You MUST keep your FINAL .gif icons/buttons within the same pixel size of the existing files - we will just be replacing the existing image directory. All icons must be submitted as VECTOR format source files. Colors are open to the designer but they must work within the supplied Hestia storyboards. Design - Are the icons clear in their execution Contest Deliverables Round One 6 icon designs = Your submitted design solution for a review 2 button designs = Your submitted design solution for a review Notes.jpg = A file that explains your design and solution Round Two All icons = Final Design All buttons = Final Design Notes.jpg = A file that explains your design and solution Submission & Source Files Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 800x800px JPG in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place your icons within it. You are free to re-size or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections. Submission File All Requested Contest Submission Requirements stated above. Source Files All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop, Gimp, Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and saved as layered PSD files, AI or EPS files. NOTE: All Icons must have Vector source files Final Fixes As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify sizes or colors of your icons.
Round 1
At the end of Round 1, the Client will choose five (5) Round 1 winners, each will win $50 and a Design Review. These winners and any member who had a passing submission in round one will be eligible to compete in Round 2 for the additional $1000 in prizes.Round 2
