Challenge Summary

The TopCoder Social Media Mashup is a new TopCoder Developer Challenge For this contest you will be developing Storyboards for the "TopCoder Social Media Mashup" mini-site. This new TopCoder Developer Challenge will be a series of competitions to produce TopCoder Community related Social Media Apps! Have you ever had an idea for a cool social media app for the TopCoder community? Did you need some help making your widget, bot or app a reality? The Social Media Mashup will allow members of the TopCoder community to use publicly available data to highlight their work and achievements, communicate and share their experience with others.

Round 1

At the end of Round 1, we will choose five (5) Round 1 winners, each will win $100 and a Design Review. These winners and any member who had a passing submission in round one will be eligible to compete in Round 2 for the additional $1000 in prizes.

Round 2

Round 2 will start with the announcement of the Five (5) $100 Round 1 winners and their design review.
This mini-site will give information about the contest including updated news, allow competitors to submit, allow competitors and spectators to view submissions, and allow everyone to discuss the contest in general. This site is going to be highly visible so it needs to be exciting and get everyone engaged in the contest. Design Concepts It's very important to that this site be engaging, EDGY! exciting and lively. Some concepts to consider when designing: - Social Media! (of course!) - Community - Innovation - Performance - Sharing (Do your Social Media Research please!) Logos - We need a logo for the TopCoder Social Media Mashup! - You can use the TopCoder brackets and TopCoder colors - DO NOT use the Bank Gothic Font - How "TopCoder Social Media Mashup" is used is up to you (we will provide feedback around this in Round 2) - How you use the words "TopCoder Social Media Mashup" is up to you. - The Powered by TopCoder logo also needs to be used someplace on the page, secondarily to the main logo. Wireframes - Please refer to past TopCoder Challenges (Especially Remix) to see what is required. Reference These links are for reference purposes only. Do not simply re-skin any of these sites. That is not the intention of this contest! Target User As this Challenge will involve the entire Topcoder Community, contestants will visit the site often to check their progress, see the schedule, and see the winners announced for the various competitions.
