Round 2 will start with the announcement of the Five (5) $50 Round 1 winners and their design review from the Client.Contest Details Vesta is always looking to give their customers a better user experience by updating and enhancing the user experience (UX) of their existing websites and web applications. Vesta currently has a "Locations Finder" that allows anyone to find a local Showroom, XPress Counter or Branch. For this contest we need you to design a "miniature" or "widget" size Locations Finder that will work within a Pop-Up or Modal window design. The UX would be similar to when you are booking an airplane flight and you need to pick your "From" and "To" airport locations. Design Scenario A User is on the Vesta site and they are presented with with a question or a situation where they need to quickly locate their local Showroom. (Go to the Homeowner Page and click on "Ready to Book Your Showroom Consultation") 1) The User is presented with a question: What branch do you deal with?: Input field plus a link for Locations Finder Widget pop-up or modal (some of you may be familiar with this question from the recent Vesta Customer Survey Contest - same question/scenario) 2) The User clicks on the Locations Finder Widget link and pops open a small window that allows them to locate (and possibly remind them) the Showroom/Branch that they have been working with. Locations Finder Widget Criteria: - Simple to use - Similar features to the current Locations Finder but smaller - Input Field (the User can input anything that helps to identify their location: Zip Code, Address, City, State etc. and local locations are returned) - The Client currently promotes inputing "Address or Zip" - Location Results (how is this presented?) - Still using Google Maps (do you show a small map with the location pointers?) - Ability for the User to select a location (via the map or line item results) and hit Save to close the window and have the Location Name populate the original questions input field. Additional Questions: - Any additional features we should include? - Help features? - Any features included within the pop-up or modal window design? Target User - Homeowners - Professionals (HVAC, Waterworks, Commercial, Residential, Industry & Specialty) - Assume Users know how to use the Application but are not necessarily web savvy. Judging Criteria - How well you design the new Vesta Locations Finder Widget! - Cleanliness of your graphics and design - User Experience Please remember to submit UNIQUE designs - do not simply make minor modifications and resubmit. Reference Files Homepage Link (see the Location Finder in the bottom right corner) Homeowner Link Professional Link Source Files - You can start with the provided "Question-Screen.png" - You are allowed to take screen-shots of the existing Client site. Design your Widget to work within the current site design. - Your widget could be used in the presented "Question-Screen.png" or it could be used within the most recent Customer Survey Contest results or within another stand-alone web application. The point is to make it belong within the Client site but its just not tied to one page.
