Contest Details Hestia B2B is always looking to give their customers a better user experience. The B2B application currently has a "Search" feature which allows a User to search for products and purchase them. The goal of this contest is to make small adjustments to the user experience and update the user interface based on new requirements. We are looking for enhancements to how the B2B Search looks and is displayed within the B2B application. We are NOT looking for a new way to Search - just improvements on the User Interface. Do NOT remove any features from the provided pages. 1) Search Enhancements Reference B2B-Home.png Currently the Product Search is in the top left corner. This should stay in that area of the page but we are looking for new graphic design solutions (look and feel). - Update the Find a Product Search box and Search/Go Button (it should say Search) - Update the Tabs (Shop Locally, Nationally) - just have is say "Locally", "Nationally" - should this feature be displayed as Tabs? When a User does a search we want to show products that are closest to their location (Locally) but still give them the option of seeing all products available (Nationally) - Product Categories are shown on the left and as you click into them they drill down farther into your search (view and compare the left search in B2B-home.png and B2B-search.png) - A User can also click on "View All Categories" and see a pop-out with an index of categories (see B2B-View-All-Categories.png) Site References Here are some references of websites using similar or the same search technology Reference Link 1 Reference Link 2 Reference Link 3 Pay attention to how the Search works (search for something) and how the left column categories are displayed and the Search Results are displayed. 2) Compare Products - After a user does a search you see the search results (see B2B-Search.png) - Search results can be viewed in List or Tile view - Add the ability to Compare Products (Checkbox "select to compare") and the screen you would see when comparing products. 3) Recently Viewed Items - After a user does a search you see the search results and additional "merchandising zones" that show pictures of discounted items, high search items or best sellers. - We would like to see a design of a merchandising zone showing the user "recently viewed items" (based on previous searches or clicks on product details) - This "recently viewed items" zone would be displayed on the Search Results page above or below the search results. 4) Recently Purchased item - A lot of B2B users order and reorder the same items. - We would like a graphic indicator on the Search Results page (and the Cart page) to indicate to the user that specific products have recently been purchased by them (12 month period) - This would remind the User that they are search or reordering the correct item. Target User - Users of the Hestia B2B Application - Assume Users know how to use the Application but are not necessarily web savvy. Judging Criteria - How well you design and update the Search process and requirements - Cleanliness of your graphics and design - User Experience Follow the referenced screenshots and recreate/update the screens and User Experience. (DO NOT REDESIGN THE SITE) but enhance, fix-up, improve the UX. Round 1 Submissions: Use Round 1 of this contest to ask the Client questions and try out your design solution with the Client.
