Challenge Summary

The goal of this competition is to design storyboards for the three Auto Calculators seen below. For this competition you will design a total of three (3) storyboards that will fit within the existing header and footer provided.

Round 1

At the end of Round 1, we will choose three (3) Round 1 winners, each will win $100 and a Design Review. These winners and any member who had a passing submission in round one will be eligible to compete in Round 2 for the additional $1200 in prizes.

Round 2

Round 2 will start with the announcement of the three (3) $100 winners and their design review
Note:These three (3) pages should be completely redesigned. Do not reuse any existing styles or design elements. We are looking for new and fresh concepts. Post to the forum with questions. These pages (below) are what you will be designing. The functionality on the calculators should remain the same (i.e keep all the fields you see on the current calculators in your new designs) .We are looking for new and fresh concepts. The current pages are dull and outdated. Play around with the calculators to get an idea of the user goal and create a better user experience. You may submit multiple pages for each calculator to convey your idea. The provided header and footer should be used on each of the three (3) storyboards. The header & footer do not need to be layered - you can cut/paste them in from the provided JPG. Refer to the ATTACHED calculators_requirements.doc for the storyboard details. Stock Photography Watermarked comp photography from istockphoto.com is allowed in this contest, but NOT REQUIRED. You must follow these instructions or your submission will fail screening: 1) You must include a completed Third Party Content worksheet. It belongs with your Submission folder/zip file -- NOT your Source folder/zip file. 2) Only use photos, and only use them from iStockPhoto. Other iStockPhoto artwork is not allowed. 3) Be sure to keep the watermark intact. If the image is cropped in such a way that the watermark is not visible, please be sure to include the entire image in your source files so we can see that it is a comp image from iStockphoto.com. Target User People who are interested in an auto loan. This could be various typs of internet users. We want the calculators intutive and easy to use. Judging Criteria Your submission will be judged on the following criteria: - Quality of designed elements - How accurately and intuitively the elements are represented - ease of use - How well you followed the requirements Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. You are free to resize or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections. Submission File All Requested Contest Submission Requirements stated above - 3 storyboards. Source Files All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop, Gimp, Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and saved as layered PSD files, AI or EPS files. Final Fixes As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify content and/or colors. Also note: If your PSD file contains "junk" layers, is not well organized or presents in a manner that makes the file less than useful to the client as an editable source file (text has been rasterized, layers have been merged incorrectly, etc), you will be asked to repair the file in the final fix phase

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.
