Round 1
At the end of Round 1, we will choose five (5) Round 1 winners, each will win $100 and a Design Review. These winners and any member who had a passing submission in round one will be eligible to compete in Round 2 for the additional prizes.Round 2
Round 2 will start with the announcement of the five (5) $100 Round 1 winners and their design review.Contest Background Information PayPal Shopping (http://paypal-shopping.com) is an online portal where PayPal consumers can discover promotional offers from merchants, internal products from PayPal, and promotions from eBay. All merchant offer placements are negotiated, manually uploaded and administered, and typically link to an affiliate network for tracking and revenue share. All visitors to the Shopping portal see the same set of offers; there is no segmented targeting. Goals For the next evolution of the site, PayPal is looking to make the following changes:
- To include different categories of offers among their promotions - developer apps & smaller merchant offers submitted via self-submission. How will offers from these different categories be displayed differently on PP Shopping Deals page? How can navigation & discoverability be improved by including categories on the navigation on the Deals page?
- To evolve and optimizing the navigation of PayPal Shopping to increase the discoverability of offers across all of the category pages.
- To evolve the "Find Products" search capability with the inclusion the new categories.. This includes the gerenral placement and look and feel. How can its placement and function be improved in general?
- To incorporate a ratings system for offers. How can users rate an offer?
