Challenge Summary

BankOns is in need of a logo/brand. BankOns is a new company and doesn?t have any specific colors, fonts or designs in mind. This should allow you to make full use of your creativity where you can design something 100% original. Have fun with the process and results we know that we will.
BankOns is a Software as a Service (SaaS) company for banks that has created a mobile coupons/offers application and platform for bank customers to use while shopping in retail stores. They are trying to convey our bridge the ?trusted? world of banking and the excitement of the modern Web 2.0 world. They would like to create something that has the image of being rock solid without being complicated. We would like our first impression to be that the offers will be both thoughtful and legitimate but that the application will be intuitive and easy too use. (Obviously good software will be BankOns job.) The people who will use this service in the offline world will be either gender smart phone users who have an online bank account. It is likely that they will also be frequent debit card users if that factoid helps. The banking employees who will decide and implement the platform will be mid to senior executives with many years in a relatively slow moving industry who are most likely newer to technology and tend to be risk averse. BankOns has been told that blue conveys trust to bankers but we are open to all applications that can convey our goals. You can play with a capital or lowercase "O" in the name. Be creative and have fun. EFFECTS / WEB VS PRINT VERSION If you would like to use gradients and other effects that are not print-friendly (such as "glows" of "shadows"), you are free to do so but ONLY if you ALSO provide an effect-free / print-friendly version of your logo. In this instance, both versions of the logo:
  • must display well / look good
  • must be nearly identical, with the exception of the effects (i.e. not two entirely unique logos)
Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi. Show your logo on BOTH a black and white background. Submission File One JPG image of the designed logo. Source Files All original VECTOR source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape and saved as layered AI or EPS files. Note that PSDs saved as EPS files are not true vector / scalable files and will not be accepted. All non-standard Windows fonts must be listed in a text file within your Submission Zip file. Include the name of the font and a link to where it can be downloaded/purchased. DO NOT include any font files in your submission or source files. Final Fixes As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to complete one round of modifications to content and/or colors.
