Challenge Summary

This is the final phase of the DoneRight Website Re-Design Storyboard Contests. Your task is to create storyboards for the final eight (8) pages, based on the provided files.

Round 1

At the end of Round 1, the Client will choose two (2) Round 1 winners, each will win $50 as Round 1 Milestone Winners. These winners and any member who had a passing submission in round one will be eligible to compete in Round 2 for the additional $1500 in prizes.

Round 2

Round 2 will start with the announcement of the two (2) $50 Round 1 winners and their design review from the Client.

CONTEST DETAILS

Your will take the content from the provided wireframes and create these final eight (8) pages, basing your design on the provided storyboards (screens and PSD source files).

The client has approved these provided storyboards and your task is to integrate your pages seamlessly with the exisitng pages - meaning that it should be impossible to tell that there was ever more than one designer involved.

Specifically, this means: You must re-uese existing design elements WHEREVER POSSIBLE! In this particular contest we are not looking for who can best create new styles - rather we are looking for who can make these new pages blend in best with the existing styles.

In most instances, you will be able to easly re-use entire existing element groups (for example, most of the elements you will need - header, menu, footer, sidebar modules, main content header bars, buttons, icons, etc - already exist in the provided PSDs) by simply dragging them into your new PSDs. In the end, you will submit eight (8) PSD files (source) and eight (8) storyboard screens (submission):
1) Project Prep, default page
2) Project Prep, single category
3) project Prep, single article
4) Service Report
5) Service Report, success (after submit form)
6) About Us
7) Contact Us
8) User Agreement & Privacy Policy

If you are unsure how to create a particular element, reusing existing styles - PLEASE ASK FOR ADVICE IN THE FORUMS - we are happy to work with you to create your best submission!

Stock Photography

Watermarked comp photography from istockphoto.com is allowed in this contest. You must follow these instructions or your submission will fail screening:

1) You must include a completed Third Party Content worksheet. It belongs with your Submission folder/zip file -- NOT your Source folder/zip file.
2) Only use photos, and only use them from iStockPhoto. Other iStockPhoto artwork is not allowed.
3) Be sure to keep the watermark intact. If the image is cropped in such a way that the watermark is not visible, please be sure to include the entire image in your source files so we can see that it is a comp image from iStockphoto.com.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify content and/or colors.
If your PSD file contains "junk" layers, is not well organized or presents in a manner that makes the file less than useful to the client as an editable source file (layers have been merged incorrectly, are not grouped/labeled correctly, etc) you will be asked to repair the file in the final fix phase.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.
