Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Hestia B2B "Hestia B2B General Merchandising Profile" Design Contest. The goal of this contest is to UPDATE the provided Hestia B2B Home Storyboard and create a few additional web screens based on the provided wireframes and requirements listed.

Round 1

At the end of Round 1, the Client will choose five (5) Round 1 winners, each will win $50 as Round 1 Milestone Winners. These winners and any member who had a passing submission in round one will be eligible to compete in Round 2 for the additional $750 in prizes

Round 2

Round 2 will start with the announcement of the Five (5) $50 Round 1 winners and their design review from the Client.
Contest Details Hestia is always looking to give their customers a better user experience by providing new and up-to-date features in their B2B Web Application. Over the last few months the Studio Community has helped Hestia create a new user interface for the B2B Application. The new site is being tested and we are now working on future changes and updates. For this contest we need you to design and create the merchandising areas listed in the provided wireframe. We have provided copy and images to use in the referenced areas. You can modify/design the provided images to work with your merchandising design. Merchandising: merchandising is any practice which contributes to the sale of products to a retail consumer. At a retail level, merchandising refers to the variety of products available for sale and the display of those products in such a way that it stimulates interest and entices customers to make a purchase. Resources & Requirements IMPORTANT - Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together. - All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance. - Please reference the provided GUI PSD Kit and Graphic Toolbox to help make your design consistent across the application. Reference the provided wireframe and graphics toolkit and create/update your storyboard to handle these merchandising items. Create this area using PSD objects of each elements based on the provided PSD GUI Kit. Note the smaller column size and adjust the design accordingly. Resources & Requirements - Reference the provided PSD files. - You will need to work within this design to update and create your new pages. Judging Criteria - How well you update & create the new merchandising graphics and keep things consistent with the current site design. - Cleanliness of your graphics and design - User Experience Contest Deliverables Round One Hestia B2B Home Page = Your submitted design solution for a review. Hestia B2B Slidehow graphic(s) - The slide designs that will rotate for client review. Notes.jpg: Any comments about your design for the Client Round Two Hestia B2B Home Page = Final Design Hestia B2B Slideshow graphics - Final Design Note.jpg: Final Comments for the Client Submission & Source Files Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. Submission File All Requested Contest Submission Requirements stated above. Source Files All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file. Final Fixes As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Stock Photography

Stock photography is not allowed in this challenge. All submitted elements must be designed solely by you. See this page for more details.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Submission format

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.

Fonts, Stock Photos, and Icons:

All fonts, stock photos, and icons within your design must be declared when you submit. DO NOT include any 3rd party files in your submission or source files. Read about the policy.
