Round 2

Round 2 will start with the announcement of the four (4) $50 Round 1 winners and their design review.

CONTEST DETAILS

Your will take content from the provided prototype (index page / home) and re-imagine the layout / design to create a more dynamic / appealing home page.

It is important to note that the client is very happy with all inner pages of the site - which means:
- You must maintain the header / footer of the design
- You must also keep your new design within the existing width of the existing main content.
- You must stick to the existing color scheme and try to keep new colors to a minimum. If you do add new colors, know that they must work with the existing color scheme.
- Remember to maintain the open feel of the design, with ample white space.

You are encouraged to RADICALLY alter the look/feel of this content in the main area. The client is looking for a design that appeals to people in their late twenties and thirties, who are looking to tackle home improvement projects and increase the value of their home.
If you are unsure how to create a particular element to work with existing styles / colors / etc - PLEASE ASK FOR ADVICE IN THE FORUMS - we are happy to work with you to create your best submission!

REQUIRED CONTENT

The following details required content for your re-design and, importantly, shows the IMPORTANCE of each element on the page. This means that, on first glance, the hierarchy of the content on the page should be clear.

PRIMARY CONTENT
Splash of visual information / single sentence that sums up what you do + call to action

- photo(s) that shows younger (25-35 years) woman/man/couple working on home improvement project / or other image associated with younger couple / home - feel free to use non-traditional images that appeal to stated age group
- primary point, "Prescreened. Relentlessly Reviewed. Guaranteed."
- primary statement "Done Right! is the trusted, free and easy way for you to find, select and hire guaranteed home improvement professionals that serve your area"
- optional subtext, "Done Right! eliminates the worry and anxiety normally associated with finding, selecting and hiring a home improvement professional. How? The Done Right Guarantee. Done Right! guarantees the services of its home improvement pros, all of whom are pre-screened and relentlessly reviewed."
- FIND A PRO form / call to action (same content as current "find a pro" search module, though you may redesign completely)

SECONDARY CONTENT
Simple explanation of what to expect + featured pro to reinforce what type of service providers you can find here

- How Done Right! works: 1. Submit your online request 2. Our Done Right! Home Specialist will contact you 3. And quickly match you with one of our top-rated home pros
- Featured Home Pro (same content as current "featured home pro" module, though you may redesign completely)

SUB CONTENT
More text (for the user who wants a more complete explanation) and example of what else you offer besides the main service (tips/advice)

- finer points (icons / text found in left main - associated with prescreened / relentlessly reviewed / guaranteed details)
- toolbox modules (same content as current "toolbox" module, though you may redesign completely)

Stock Photography

Watermarked comp photography from istockphoto.com is allowed in this contest. You must follow these instructions or your submission will fail screening:

1) You must include a completed Third Party Content worksheet. It belongs with your Submission folder/zip file -- NOT your Source folder/zip file.
2) Only use photos, and only use them from iStockPhoto. Other iStockPhoto artwork is not allowed.
3) Be sure to keep the watermark intact. If the image is cropped in such a way that the watermark is not visible, please be sure to include the entire image in your source files so we can see that it is a comp image from iStockphoto.com.
