Welcome to the Hestia B2B "Merchandising Green" Design Contest. The goal of this contest is to UPDATE the provided Hestia B2B Merchandising and create a few additional web screens based on the provided wireframes and requirements listed.

Contest Details Hestia is always looking to give their customers a better user experience by providing new and up-to-date features in their B2B Web Application. For this contest we need you to design and create the "green" merchandising areas listed in the provided wireframe. We have provided copy and images to use in the referenced areas. You can modify/design the provided images to work with your merchandising design. We also need you to add new "custom catalog" links in the left column based on the provided sample (older-custom-catalog.png). Add this area to the existing design and use the current Hestia B2B icons for "Green Products and "Lead Law Products" (note the text/icon change on Lead Law) Merchandising: merchandising is any practice which contributes to the sale of products to a retail consumer. At a retail level, merchandising refers to the variety of products available for sale and the display of those products in such a way that it stimulates interest and entices customers to make a purchase. Resources & Requirements IMPORTANT - Create a new "green" merchandising page based on the provided wireframes - Update the left navigation to include the new "custom catalog" navigation - Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together. - All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance. - On the green slideshow graphics use the provided "Merchandising Slideshow" as your template - it must follow this template/layout. Use the water drops as the background vector texture. - Margins between sections must be consistent.. - Please reference the provided GUI PSD Kit and Graphic Toolbox to help make your design consistent across the application. Reference the provided wireframe and graphics toolkit and create/update your storyboard to handle the new "green" merchandising items. Open Merchandising-HVAC.zip and modify this file as the base of your new "green" submission. GREEN HOMEPAGE Main Banner Header for Green Page - Size : 520px x 70px. - Margin Bottom : 20px. - Text : Green in bold font. - Images : Re-use banner provided GreenSolutionsBannerFINAL.eps - No rounded corners at banner. Middle Area - Slideshow Area - Size: 540px x 210px. - Margin Bottom : 20px. - Contains 3 slides of content. - Keep slideshow navigation consistent must in bottom right of carousel/slideshow. - No rounded corners for each slides. Slide 1) Be the go-to resource for your eco-conscious customers - Description : Get the knowledge you need to offer your customers eco-friendly options. - Link: Learn More button / link to education detail page - Graphic: Open to Designer Slide 2) Get the credit you deserve for saving water & energy - Description : Earn valuable tax credits or get cash rebates when you buy green building materials for your projects. - Link: Learn More button/ link to credit/rebate detail page - Graphic: Open to Designer Slide 3) Eco-friendly options - Description : Look for our Green Solutions label to identify environmentally preferred products. Look for products that help save the planet through energy efficiency, water conservation and/or clean air.. - Link: See Green Products button / link to green product catalog - Graphic: Use Green-Solutions-Logo.JPG as part of the graphic Middle Area - GREEN PRODUCTS - Dimension : 268px x 150px. Product 1) Water saving faucets - Description: provide equal or better performance than conventional fixtures, while saving water costs, water heating costs, sewage costs, & more. - Links: Link in PageBuilder will go to Product Detail page. - Graphic: Use K11076-4-CP.jpg w/ text about Green Faucets. Product 2) High performance toilets - Description: used in both residential and commercial settings are powerful and provide continual water savings. - Links: Link in PageBuilder will go to Product Detail page. - Graphic: Use PF9300WH.jpg w/ text about Green Toilets. Product 3) Energy efficient water heaters - Description: are available in both tank and tankless models. - Links: Link in PageBuilder will go to Product Detail page. - Graphic: Use RR75LSEN.jpg w/ text about Green Water Heaters. Product 4) Green urinals - Description: use as low as .5 gallons per flush to even waterless. Water cost savings can be substantial as is the conservation of thousands of gallons of water each year for one urinal. - Links: Link in PageBuilder will go to Product Detail page. - Graphic: Use PF1815WH.tif w/ text about Green Urinals. Resources & Requirements - Reference the provided PSD files. - You will need to work within this design to update and create your new page. Judging Criteria - How well you update & create the new merchandising graphics and keep things consistent with the current site design. - Cleanliness of your graphics and design - User Experience Submission & Source Files Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. Submission File All Requested Contest Submission Requirements stated above. Source Files All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file. Final Fixes As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
