Challenge Summary
Welcome to the Praxis"IT Showcase Site" Storyboard Contest. The goal of this contest is to design the look and feel for a NEW engaging portal site for Praxis. This new site will replace http://community.topcoder.com/praxis-esolutions. At the end of this contest, the Client is looking to have a clean, intuitive, and easy-to-use design that will be great input into a Studio Wordpress contest.
Contest Details Praxis is looking to convert the TopCoder standardized "eSolutions" site into a portal that allows them to present their projects to Praxis upper-management. Ideally, this portal is a tool that will allow Praxis IT to pitch ideas and get approval within Praxis. Subsequent contests will be run to expand the scope to non-TC projects, and span of control will be enforced. For now, this contest is to design a professional looking, intuitive, graphics-focused website that will blow upper management away. Please review the attached preliminary mockups based on the standard template. Please feel free to change them completely. NOTE: Your storyboard will eventually be converted to a wordpress theme. Keep this in mind when planning your design. Main Navigation This storyboard might have 5 (five) main-navigation links that will be displaying across the site. The Company Logo must remain in the top left corner of every page. 1). Home This page will need to show: - Contest feeds - Forum feeds - Top priority concepts - Featured concepts Any other suggestions? 2). Idea Entry A simple form with the following fields: - Project Name - Project Description - Project Benefit - Complexity(1-5) - ROI(1-5) - Recommended Leads - Recommended Sponsor Raw Ideas - This page will need to show a sortable table displayed with results from the idea database (fields above) This page concept is flexible. Feel free to have the Raw Ideas as the main page with a link to the Idea Entry. Raw Ideas doesn't even have to be a separate page. Any other suggestions? 3). Concepts This page will need to show: - Page Title - Latest Concept List (max 3 concepts) - "Sort By" Functions - Concept Image - Concept Name - Concept Description - Button "View" to go to Concept Detail page - Button "Discuss" to go to Concept Forums page - Rating System, contains : Customer Impact Business Need Business Change Technical Difficulty Level of Risk Any other suggestions? Concept Details This page will need to show (see concept drill down jpg): - Page Title - Slideshow of concepts - Place to upload supporting documents" & "Link to contests/competitions/etc - Concept Overview - Discussions Lists - Rating System, contains : Customer Impact Business Need Business Change Technical Difficulty Level of Risk Any other suggestions? 4). Approved This page would show a list of projects that have been approved for completion: - List of projects - Screenshot of the project - Simple details about the project Note: If a user clicked on a project it would take them to the project details (like the Concept Detail page) Any other suggestions? 5). Contact This page will need to show: - Contact Form, main contact details Important Notes - No Color Restrictions - No Font Restrictions - No Layout Restrictions (except it must fit within a 1024px width browser) - Basically we're looking for you (Studio Designers) to help kick-start this project with your creative ideas and design solutions. - This will NOT be branded eSolutions or IT Showcase Site. Target Audience - Current Customer (workers and executives) Resources & Requirements IMPORTANT - Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together. - All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance. Judging Criteria - How well you create the new "Concepts & Ideas for eSolutions" design. - Cleanliness of your graphics and design - User Experience Contest Deliverables Submission & Source Files Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. Submission File All Requested Contest Submission Requirements stated above. Source Files All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop and saved as layered PSD file. Final Fixes As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.
