Contest Details TopCoder has recently introduced the TopCoder Cockpit Application, which allows Customers, as well as Staff, Copilots, etc., to directly engage with the TopCoder processes and Community. TopCoder Cockpit allows users to - Launch and Monitor Contests - View Submissions - Choose Winners for Competitions - Pay for and Download Finished Products and generally manage a project within the TopCoder platform. TopCoder Cockpit is the bridge between the Client and the TopCoder Community that gives a customer the ability to build software and complete design projects of any size or scope through competition. Resources & Requirements IMPORTANT - Keep simple and clean design! And have great user experience. - Create your PSDs/storyboards on a 1024px width screen, with the design at 960px centered so we can see your browser window background. - Group/package each graphics in its own folder layer with appropriate names/titles. - Keep things consistent. This means all graphics styles should work together. - All of the graphic should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance. - Make sure your design use Windows standard fonts (arial, tahoma, etc) - All text must be editable and non-graphical. - You must provide us how every screens looks in 1024px width and more wider screens. - Before you redesign the PSD, please click around on attached prototype to get more familiar with Cockpit Start a New Project application. START NEW PROJECT UPDATE REQUIREMENT Step 1 What is the name of the project? - The "note" area not helpful. It is too much text. Please help us create the proper notes? - The field descriptions under the fields should be contextual and pop up when hovering over the "i" icon. - Update project name limited to 30 characters, update the input width. - Please reword every information/instructions text or words to become more simple and clear. - Feel free to redesign the information/notes area in this screen more better. Step 2 - The gameplans in the modal window are two small. It's extremely difficult to see what is on them. Please redesign the gameplan modals to have bigger screens. - If user select "Custom Gameplan", clicking "Next STEP" brings user to a large white space with a small note in the center, seems not user-friendly. Please remove this screen. - if user chooses the "Custom Gameplan", we need to use a modal window to show the * note* to the user, then user clicks a button in the modal like "Yes, I understand it" to go directly to STEP 4.We need some better text content for that area. - Same thing about the "note" area. Please improve the text need to displayed. - Please reword every information/instructions text or words to become more simple and clear. - Feel free to redesign the information/notes area in this screen more better. Step 3 When do you want to start the first contest? - Please move the Estimate Tables on top of this steps into Step 6. - Information correction about the note: "Contests can run in parallel". Please fix the words to support this. - Please reword every information/instructions text or words to become more simple and clear. - Feel free to redesign the information/notes area in this screen more better. Step 4 Would you like a copilot for this project? Or do you already have one? - When user chooses "I need a copilot", the user should be further prompted with "Choose an copilot directly" or "Create a copilot posting to select copilot". For the client who has a satisfied copilot, he could directly assign this copilot to the project. Please create NEW screen to support this. - Remember to create final confirmation with some new variety screens that will reflected based on previous selection on this steps or any steps when filled Start New Project. - Please reword every information/instructions text or words to become more simple and clear. - Feel free to redesign the information/notes area in this screen more better. Step 5 Who can access your Project? - The name of the user should not have collapse/expand button. Please remove the collapse/expand button on this steps. - Please reword every information/instructions text or words to become more simple and clear. - Feel free to redesign the information/notes area in this screen more better. Step 6 Setup the Project. - Remember Estimate tables from Step 3 moved on this page. - We need note for those 3 columns by using tooltips next to title, we're open to any suggestions placement. - Remember to create confirmation with some new variety screens that will reflected based on previous selection at any previous steps like when user custom gameplan, selecting copilot directly, etc. For example: if user chooses custom game plan in STEP 2, then in the STEP 6, Steps already completed should not have "2. Create gameplan from project templete with draft contests". If user chooses "does not need a copilot" in STEP 4, then Steps already completed should not have "3 Create draft copilot selection contest" - Words "Copilot Selection Contest" better to be changed to "Copilot Posting" for naming consistency. - Please create every information/instructions text or words to become more simple and clear. - Under Steps yet to be complete, all client have to do is #4 and #5. Remove another numbers. - We need to make it less intimidating for all next steps in this screens. Instead of listing them all (not all will be necessary in all cases) We could say something like "Click here to go to your project. Once you're in your project you can do things like monitor status, talk to your copilot, run contests, etc.". And leave the detail for the completed steps like it is. - Add new Forums links in this step, so user can easily see the forums after project created. - Please reword every information/instructions text or words to become more simple and clear. - Feel free to redesign the information/notes area in this screen more better. New Confirmation Screens The final confirmation page start-a-new-project-step-6.html is designed for user who creates draft contests from gameplan and chooses to create draft copilot posting, what if user chooses custom gameplan and choose not create a draft copilot posting? Please help us create this screen. Target Audience - New Customers - Non expert Customers Judging Criteria - How well you improve "Start a Project" text and graphics and keep things consistent with the current Cockpit Application. - Cleanliness of your graphics and design - Improvement of Decription/Notes text Submission & Source Files Preview Image Please create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024px JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.
