Challenge Summary

Welcome to “Business Continuity Mobility System – iPad Wireframe 1st Phase” contest. This application will be built in three differents platform, Web, iPad, and iPhone. This contest purpose is to provide system workflow using iPad to managing incidents that impacts the business operations and issuing alert notification to key individuals in the organization.

At the end of this contest, the client is looking appropriate system workflow that easy to understand for all users and clean, intuitive wireframes that will become a great input for storyboard design contest.

There will be another iPad wireframe contest for this application, so if you start with this contest, it will be much more easier for you to understand the specification for next contest. Please stay alert and jump in immediately when it’s launched.

Needs support both vertical and horizontal orientation.


Requirements :

For this contest, you will create the wireframes for Business Continuity Mobility System. The general target platform of this application will be Web Browser, iPad and iPhone, but right now, you just need to focus for iPad Platform. Please note that there are three (3) key functional areas that needs to be done :

1. Incident & Alert Management
2. Contact Management
3. Business Continuity Checklist, Plans and Other Content.

This system will provide authorized users with access to the incidents, contact and important business continuity content to facilitate communication and information sharing. The application for the incident/alert management will be a web based application hosted externally, outside our internal technical infrastructure while The application for the contact management will be a mobile application for mobile devices with the contact data stored on the phone. Note : please remember, every page have some functionality that needs to be built, please read the page requirement details below carefully.since this is for iPad/iPhone purposes, make sure the page layout can support portrait and landscape orientation. and please change all communication ways for dial phone or text message (sms) becames sending email since iPad not supporting text messaging and telephone function.


Target Audiences
There will be five (5) user groups that use this mobile application :
1. Business Continuity Mobility System Administration, Consists of the Business Continuity Management department resources that will be responsible for managing user security, BCM system content (plans, checklists), general administration in the system and will also be able to create and manage incidents.
2. Incident Situation Manager (ISM), Selected individuals for each the incident type who will be accountable for the regular incident management and providing regular progress updates on the incident resolution.
3. Crisis Management Team (CMT), Individuals  representing key departments of the organization who are responsible with situation assessment, defining steps to maintain business continuity and providing incidents updates as required.
4. Emergency Response Group (ERG), Individuals who are responsible for ensuring the required emergency, medical and other support services are called, safety of any on-site individuals and providing incident updates as required.
6. Senior Executive Committee (SEC), Senior management with access to incident status and would available for issue escalation and decision making if required.

You need to provide scenarios for all these user in the system, what can they do, and limit their privileges. For iPad/iPhone (Mobile application), only BCMS admin, ISM, CMT, ERG and SEC needs to use mobile application.

Judging Criteria

Besides the three (3) key functional areas, your submission also will be judged using following criteria :

1. Completeness and accuracy of the wireframe as defined in the attached requirements.
2. How well your wireframes provides a consistent user flow.
3. How well you implement the required data and any suggestions, interactions and user flow you recommend (provide any notes or comments for the clients).

How To Submit

  • Upload your submission in three parts (Learn more here). Your design should be finalized and should contain only a single design concept (do not include multiple designs in a single submission).
  • If your submission wins, your source files must be correct and “Final Fixes” (if applicable) must be completed before payment can be released.
  • You may submit as many times as you'd like during the submission phase, but only the number of files listed above in the Submission Limit that you rank the highest will be considered. You can change the order of your submissions at any time during the submission phase. If you make revisions to your design, please delete submissions you are replacing.

Winner Selection

Submissions are viewable to the client as they are entered into the challenge. Winners are selected by the client and are chosen solely at the client's discretion.

Your Design Files:

  1. Look for instructions in this challenge regarding what files to provide.
  2. Place your submission files into a "Submission.zip" file.
  3. Place all of your source files into a "Source.zip" file.
  4. Declare your fonts, stock photos, and icons in a "Declaration.txt" file.
  5. Create a JPG preview file.
  6. Place the 4 files you just created into a single zip file. This will be what you upload.
