Challenge Summary
A "Toolkit" resource exists that has been implemented as a Microsoft SharePoint teamsite. The toolkit provides a specific job function with resources to assist with day-to-day job activities and long-term professional development. Sample capabilities of the tool are to provide guidelines, template and sample outputs of a role related deliverables, a competency model for the job function, hiring guidelines for the job function, white papers and other literary resources regarding the job, and much more.
The challenge with the existing implementation is that the SharePoint site is subject to information overload, where users have a difficult time finding resources on the site and are often unaware of features and information that are available. Our implementation will be restricted to native SharePoint Teamsite capabilities (no custom development). The intent is to redesign the site to better surface the information that exists, potentially including grouping sets of information and layout changes for the core content of the site.
At the end of this contest, the Client is looking to have a clean, intuitive, and easy-to-use set of wireframes that will be great input into a storyboard design contest
