Challenge Summary

The TopCoder Cockpit Application allows Customers, as well as Staff, Copilots, etc to directly engage with the TopCoder processes and Community. TopCoder Cockpit is the bridge between the Client and the TopCoder Community that gives a customer the ability to build software and complete design projects of any size or scope through competition.
We are planning a set of features that allow user group management within Cockpit. For this wireframe contest, we are looking for an initial set of features for the Cockpit platform upgrade.

Round 1

Winning submission will be chosen at client discretion.

Round 2

Winning submission will be chosen at client discretion.

The development process is managed using a series of tools, known as the Topcoder competition platform. The tools empower customers and client employees to directly take advantage of the competition platform to develop quickly and efficiently their software projects.

The existing application does not support the concept of user groups and as a result it does not have any user group management functionality.

A typical situation would involve a client managing several projects using the Cockpit application. Each project has a number of contests. For each such contest, the user has to assign users with different roles, in order for them to be able to access projects/contest resources and to properly manage the competition.

However, the lack of user management functions means that this operation has to be done for each user for each contest for each project, and this can become a very time consuming and error prone task.

This project will provide documentation for the initial set of features required for the platform upgrade and will set out the basic requirements for the user groups management, invitation management and user provisioning functionalities.
