Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Longitudinal Medical Graph Storyboard contest. For this contest we want you to design the look and feel of a revolutionary medical graphing widget.

For this contest, we will display medical data in website. The goals are to enable rapid and accurate interpretation of graph data.

Round 1

Individual images of all graphs and panes in the specification document. Many of the different parts below are very similar, please see the document for examples.

Single series graph:
- Graph with multiple series
- Timeline with optional graph
- Rate graph
- Rate graph with emphasized data points and brake
- Rate change with non continuous data points
- Rate change graph with emphasized data point and non continuous data points
- Continuity Graph
- Rate change graph
- Series graph with non continuous data points

Screen showing a real life example:
- Graph with multiple series (4 series)
- Time line below series graph.
- Rate graph with emphasized data points and brake
- Continuity Graph

Please provide a 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode and place a screenshot from your submission within it.

Round 2

Individual images of all graphs and panes in the specification.

Single series graph:
- Graph with multiple series
- Timeline with optional graph
- Rate graph
- Rate graph with emphasized data points and brake
- Rate change with non continuous data points
- Rate change graph with emphasized data point and non continuous data points
- Continuity Graph
- Rate change graph
- Series graph with non continuous data points

Screens showing a real life examples;
Screen #1
- Graph with multiple series (4 series)
- Time line below series graph.
- Rate graph with emphasized data points and brake
- Continuity Graph

Screen #2 (in order)
- Continuity Graph
- Graph with multiple series (4 series)
- Time line below series graph.
- Rate change with non continuous data points.

Screen # 3
- Series graph (4 series some continuous some non) with non continuous data points
- Time Line
- Rate graph
- Continuity Graph

Screen # 4
- Graph with multiple series (4 series)
- Time Line.
- Rate change graph (3 different types)
- Continuity Graph

Primary Goal & Design Considerations
The primary goal of this contest is to design the look and feel of Longitudinal Medical Graph as well as the several charts found in the provided document.

The following online samples could help you understand the graph types:

Requirements
You can find all required screens in the attached file.

The graphs and panes can be configured in any order. We may have a multi series graph showing vitals data (Blood Pressure, Heart Rate) or lab results (Glucose, WBC), with several rate change graphs below it showing medication rate changes (100mg to 500mg). The timeline pane will control all graphs and panes so the data between them correlates.

Interaction with the data will compromise of hover overs for the data points and time-line scaling tools.

The graph should be 2D and closely follow the images in the spec. Please get creative with shapes for rate change data points, timeline and the general looks and feel.

Important Notes:
- No Color Restrictions
- No Font Restrictions
- No Layout restrictions (be as creative as possible)
- We are looking for you (Studio Designers) to help kick-start this project with your creative ideas and design solutions.

Target Audience
- Doctors
- Nurses
- Surgeons
- Admin Staff

Judging Criteria
- Cleanliness of your graphics and design
- Easily and quickly readable
- Functionally elegant
- Help reduce errors and misreading of data

Submission & Source Files
Preview Image
Create your preview image as one (1) 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it.

Submission File
All Requested Contest Requirements stated above.

Source Files
All original source files of the submitted design. Files should be created in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator (or equivalent) and saved as layered PSD/AI files.

Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics, images (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.

Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.
