Contest Details
For this contest we would like you to redesign and improve the layout of the "Start a Quick Order" and "Online Order Status" areas on the Hestia B2B homepage. Reference the attached GUI Kit for standard Hestia B2B GUI graphics.
Design Requirements:
Start a Quick Order Widget
"Start a Quick Order" is an area for the customer to enter in exact product codes and add them to their cart. In this area the customer can "upload a spreadsheet", "Copy Order/Quotes" and "Request Special Order Products". We are looking to streamline features into a cool widget/box/area within the right column. Become familiar with the actions in this box. How would you design it?
1.) Redesign the box to have better functionality. A possibility could be using tabs to click between features.
2.) Create an area that allows the customer to search for an order by entering in an exact number of their order
Online Order Status
"Online Order Status" is a list of orders and quotes that are in progress or have been sent to Hestia for processing. We are looking for you to redesign this area/widget so the user has better visual cues to take action or further steps to complete their current order/quote of products. This section is part of the repost from a previous contest. We are looking for new designs of displaying this information and also showing/alerting a user that something has changed (so they can take action if needed). If you do not understand what we are looking for here please ask in the forums.
Look to improve the overall user experience of the "Online Order Status" area. We are NOT looking for you to redesign the homepage. You can use Homepage.psd as the base of your submission.
Online Order Status updates
1). We would like a new headline for this area - suggest new title
2). Update the Printed Orders text line, change it to Credit Memo.
3). Remove the word "Shipped" from the bottom 2 line items.
4). Create an alert/visual notificaton that a quote has been modified/changed by their salesperson - Some ideas: flag, icon, or a message box dropping down from the headline area - Your design should work within the current design theme.
IMPORTANT
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphic styles should work together.
- All of the graphics should have a similar feel and general aesthetic appearance.
- Please reference the provided GUI PSD Kit (Click this to download) to help make your design consistent across the application.
