Challenge Summary
Welcome to NASA - COECI Banner Contest.
NASA is excited to announce the formation of the Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation (COECI). The COECI is being launched to enable broad US Government use of new models of problem solving including collaborative innovation methodologies such as crowd sourcing and partnership building. The COECI is needed because even though the US Government is making great strides in fostering open and collaborative innovation there is a struggle with broad implementation.
COECI is a NASA-led virtual COE that will advance the use of distributed innovation models to improve government processes. The COECI will serve as convening body which will harness and redistribute the collective experience of all participating federal agencies regarding best practices in collaborative and distributed innovation. The three primary functions of the COECI are:
1) Education and Best Practices Sharing
2) Implementation Guidance and
3) Measurement of Impact.
More specifically, the goals of the COECI include the creation of a community of practice for collaborative innovation through the provision of implementation guidance and opportunities for experimentation with crowd sourcing and partnership building. The COECI will strive to translate specific examples of US Government led collaborative innovation successes and best practices to all Federal Agencies. The COECI will also create a national repository of best practices and applications for collaborative innovation methodologies for all federal agencies to contribute to and benefit from.
Please read the contest details below, and feel free to post your questions in forums.
