Challenge Overview
Morpheus is looking for help by the TopCoder community to create an event speaker tracking type tool Some initial requirements for the tool are:
Centralized intake receipt process (one point of contact for everyone to refer to when requesting a speaker) Simplified communication method between requestors and speakers Data source of record to provide visibility into scheduled events and speaker utilization Resource availability management - a tool that provides visibility into individual speaker's availability and ability to schedule (reserve) a person for an event Approval workflow - is there a need to have an approval workflow prior to confirming the speaker for an event? Program management - ability to link events to an overarching program Managed distribution - ability to define what each speaker specializes in (topics) and the ability to limit requests to only the qualified speakers (if looking for multiple options) Reporting on: - Schedule of events (upcoming and past) - Events per Resource - resource =’s speakers right? We’d like to highlight the speaker and the subject so we know how many times each presentation was made - Availability of resources - Ability to link to sales targets/results - Location of events - Time/effort dedicated to events (break out between driving, speaking, prep, etc.) - this may be a "nice to have" instead of a requirement, but would be useful in planning out resource capacity
