Challenge Summary
Welcome to Styx - Video Sync Tool Icon Redesign Contest.
Styx is a company that provides video surveillance equipments (.e.g. Camera, DVRs) for the Mobile systems; such as Buses, School buses, Rails etc.
"Mobile Software" is an existing application that manages all to these cameras/DVRs which are installed on the Bus. Typically whenever Bus returns back the Bus depot; it will connect to Mobile software using WiFi network. The current application is a Windows Forums thick client application.
At the end of this contest, the client is looking for professional icons that represent this enterprise system.

Primary goals:
The goal of this contest is to redesign all the 18 existing icons (Attached). We also provide the "IconScreen.png", this image shows how the icons are dislayed together at the screen. Please put your design in the template provided.
Icons Description:
Here are the icons you need to be designed:
1. School Bus Icons
2. Public Transit Bus Icons
3. Small/Private Bus Icons
4. Caddy aka Hard Drive Icons
5. Toolbar Map Icon
Each type of vehicle and hard drive above need to be designed with different types of color which are:
1. Green : Indicate Bus was in the station in last 8 hrs
2. Yellow : Indicate Bus was in the station in last 8-48 hrs
3. Red : Indicate Bus was in the station before 48+ hrs.
We need icons which are combination of the above; e.g. School Bus - Green, Red, Yellow, Blue, Transit Bus - Green, Red, Yellow, Blue etc. Please read the required icons details below.
Required Icons:

- This icon is the representation of the School Bus with a dark green color on it.

- This icon is the representation of the School Bus with a light green color on it.

- This icon is the representation of the School Bus with a red color on it.

- This icon is the representation of the School Bus with a yellow color on it.

- This icon is the representation of the Small/Private Bus with a dark green color on it.

- This icon is the representation of the Hard Drive with no color representation on it. You may use white or gray for this icon.

- This icon is the representation of the Hard Drive with a dark green color on it.

- This icon is the representation of the Hard Drive with a light green color on it.
16. Navigator_CaddyRed Icon
- This icon is the representation of the Hard Drive with a red color on it.
17. Navigator_CaddyYellow Icon
- This icon is the representation of the Hard Drive with a yellow color on it.
18. Toolbar_Maps Icon
- This icon presents button which launches "Maps" and can demonstrate where bus resides on the map. The existing icon use "95" number on it, but for this contest we are open to any ideas. You free to create any graphics about this.
NOTE:
- You may use different approach to show status instead of color. We want some ideas.
- Please use the template provided for your design.
Important:
- This is an enterprise system so we want 'professional' looking icons.
- We'd like to see a different ideas on the icons. Bring us your creativity when creating the icons.
- We are open to new ideas to different icons to illustrate the same information, but could look totally different from what is currently used. this could mean using different colors or using a different approach to show status instead of color? we want ideas!
- The icon size should be 23 px X 23 px
- Feel free to add new graphics you create yourself to support your Icons.
- Keep things consistent. This means all graphics styles for all the icons should work together.
- Do some research how to provide a professional looking icon. Tell us what you find.

Submission & Source Files:

Create a 1024x1024 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode and place a screenshot from your submission within it.
Submission File
All Requested Contest Submission Requirements stated above. Files should be saved as JPG or PNG files in RGB mode at 72dpi.
Source Files
All original source files. Original source files should be saved as layered Photoshop PSD files or AI / EPS (Illustrator) files.
Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.
Please read the challenge specification carefully and watch the forums for any questions or feedback concerning this challenge. It is important that you monitor any updates provided by the client or Studio Admins in the forums. Please post any questions you might have for the client in the forums.
