Challenge Summary

Welcome to the Accenture CIO Dashboard Stock Photos contest. We are altering an exisitng iPad event app for a new group / working iPad app. For this contest, you will be making some minor changes to two (2) existing PSD files and also finding nine (9) new dynamic stock photos for these same PSDs. Because the main goal of this contest is to find strong stock art, we will choose a minumum of three (3) winners and possibly more, if there are additional photos we wish to use.

FULL DESCRIPTION

There are three (3) tasks for this contest - the most important of which is to select nine (9) new stock photos for the new application's dashboard. These three (3) tasks must be completed for each of the two (2) provided PSDs  - horizontal and vertical versions of the dashboard. We are providing you with the following files:
- 2 PSDs from thr original application, which you will alter
- branding guideline files which speak to how Accenture wishes to be represented with regards to photo usage
- PNG examples of how the exisitng screens are to be altered

IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE that we are looking for extremely striking photos that are visually stunning. It is not a requirement that the images are related to the title text, though that would be a bonus. It is more important that the images are dynamic and interesting. In the downloads for this contest you will find the "Imagery Guides" pdf file, which gives more information on imagery. Note that the doc states that these images may come from a number of sources, but for this contest ALL photos MUST come from istockphoto.com. Furthermore, you may NOT use photos that are restricted to journalistic / non-commercial use.

Overview of Accenture imagery guides: "The primary use of imagery in the Accenture communications is realistic photography. The photographic styles we use are journalistic, insightful and metaphorical. Journalistic reflects a “slice of life” style featuring action, motion, urgency and speed. Our insightful photographic style is thought provoking and represents moments of focus, reflection and revelation. Metaphorical photography connects imagery with key messages featuring simple subjects that represent larger, more complex ideas.
In addition, we allow for telestration in video and the use of hand-rendered illustration helps to humanize the Accenture look and feel. Illustration should always look spontaneous and hand drawn and never look mechanically drawn. There is also a proprietary set of simple, universally recognizable graphic symbols to be used as small scale information elements."

TASK DETAILS

1) Alter the existing horizontal and vertical dashboard PSDs to match the branding changes indicated in the provided example PNGs. This involves changes the blue bar area where the logo resides and changes to padding of elements. For example, removing the tagline and adding the menu button.

2) Replace existing nine (9) photo box photos with new photos per brand guidelines (see brand guideline files). This is the most important task for this contest and the main judging criteria will be the photos you choose. The photos should be in keeping with the statements about photos in the branding files. The photos should also work well as a group (viewing all nine together) as well as working well with the default app colors (existing pool blue and resisting dark red). Do NOT alter the size or shape of the photo boxes.

3) Replace existing color blocks (rectangles of color laid over photos in photo boxes) with new color bars that are 100% width (same width as existing color blacks) but only 40-50px tall (rather than 117px tall) and align to the bottom of the photo box. Use the pool blue (currently used on the header / logo space) for the title color blocks on all except "messages", "wall" and "connections". Use the red color (currently the ">" on logo) for the title color blocks on these three boxes (to indicate that there are updates to these sections).
Also change the text on the boxes to these (note: font should be arial/ text can be all uppercase, or traditional text case. Text must be white.):
--- my profile
--- my wall
--- my messages
--- my groups
--- my connections
--- my discussions
--- my calendar
--- my notes
--- my app settings
