Challenge Overview
The HTML5 Engine project aims to create a low footprint HTML5 compliant browser with a limited set of features to run on devices.
The current Subset Engine already implements the necessary Javascript functionality to run the Canvas2D and WebGL Hercules Receivers. We recently ran a contest to swap out the drawing code to use Qt. This contest will port the current code to work in OS X, using the V8 Javascript engine and Qt.
|
Competitors will need a Linux environment for running the current code, and OS X to implement the port. The current version will run in Virtual Box, under Ubuntu 11.04. They will need C++ and Javascript knowledge to complete this assembly. This is a complicated application, so please take time at the beginning of the competition to ask questions and get your environment set up. |
