Contest Details
Styx is a company that provides video surveillance equipments (.e.g. Camera, DVRs) for the Mobile systems: such as Buses, School buses, Rails etc. "Mobile Software" is an existing application that manages all to these cameras/DVRs which are installed on the Bus. Typically whenever bus returns back the bus depot, it will connect to Mobile software using WiFi network. The current application is a Windows based client application.
Icons Requirements
Design Requirements
- We want High Quality Icons that looks great within 23px x 17px size. All icons must looks realistic.
- Remember, all of the vehicle icons will be placed on Black background. Make sure the icon blends on black color very well. So make sure colors for some details (windows/glass etc.) on the icons should be chosen appropriately. Black color window on the vehicle will not look good on black color background. For your submission, please create all icons in one single screen as review purpose for client.
- We would like to design all the vehicle types from the side angle view. Please see the sample icon (Navigator_BusBlue.png) for the exact angle.
- All the vehicle Icons must displayed in the same direction and angle.
- We know difficulties creating high quality icon in small size. Please see these reference to help you create our expected icons:

Here are the icons you need to be designed:
1. Transit Bus: We like the attached bus Icon (Navigator_BusBlue.png) for the Transit bus. Color of the Bus must be "Blue".
2. School Bus: Should look like school bus Color must be "Yellow".
3. Trolley/Tram: Attached (trolley.jpg) is the real trolley as a reference. Color of this trolley must be "Light Brown".
4. Transit Rail: This icon represents transit rail. See attached picture (TransitRail.jpg) for sample. Color of the rail should be "Bright Silver" or "White". It MUST NOT look like "Grey" color.
5. Unidentified Vehicle: Same Transit Bus Icon with "?" on top. Color of "?" must be "Red". Or suggest us better placement "?".
6. Paratransit Vehicle: See attached picture (ParaTransit.jpg) for sample picture. Color of this vehicle must be "White" with some minor colors (e.g. lines etc.). Remember, "Plain White" does not look very good.

Please create your preview image as one (1) 800x800 JPG or PNG file in RGB color mode at 72dpi and place a screenshot of your submission within it. You are free to resize or crop your submission to fit this size, but do not add any filters or elements for dramatic effect, such as drop shadows or reflections.
Submission File
Submit JPG/PNG images of all requested contest submission requirements stated above. Keep your source files out from this submission folder.
Source Files
All original source files. Original source files should be saved as layered Photoshop PSD files or AI / EPS (Illustrator) files.
Final Fixes
As part of the final fixes phase you may be asked to modify your graphics (sizes or colors) or modify overall colors.
