Challenge Summary

Topcoder is going to start taking some steps to refactor and improve the TopCoder community sites. The first one to start with is www.topcoder.com/tc. In this contest, we'll going to make some changes on the member profiles, more importantly - on the member achievements page.

In this contest, we'll provide TC member profile/achievements wireframes as well as new TC prototypes (header and footer part should be re-used in this contest) and new studio profile storyboards for reference. Competitors need to turn these pages into storyboards with look and feel of new TC.

Required contents

The attached wireframe shows a member profile page and a member achievements page.  Please take note of the following required elements, which will be explained further below.

Badges

The badges in the right column on the member profile page, which will be awarded for a wide variety of competitive achievements, are also to be designed in a separate contest. You can expect them to be roughly circular in shape and to occupy an area of 48x48 pixels each. You may represent them with placeholders of your choosing.

Icons

The icons are on the achievements page, including trophy type icons and competition type icons. You can expect them to be roughly circular in shape and to occupy an area of 48x48 pixels each. You may represent them with placeholders of your choosing.

Dynamic page effects

You are free to mock up any dynamic page effects that you think would make the member profiles/achievements more useful and that can be reasonably implemented in JavaScript. We will allow our programmers to use the jQuery library in the prototyping phase, so any effects that jQuery can perform are fair game.

Target audience

The tc member profiles/achievements pages will be used primarily by TopCoder members. Administrators and clients will be a secondary audience.

Judging criteria

We are looking for a friendly and informative profile/achievements pages where members will want to spend a lot of time. The interface should be easy to read at a glance and reasonable for us to implement in HTML and JavaScript.

Branding guidelines

Your storyboard should match the current look and feel of the new TC prototypes to some degree. Do not use the Studio or TopCoder logo in your storyboard.
