Primary Goal & Design Considerations

For this contest, you will create the HTML wireframe pages of the Tablet Video Playback application with the features outlined below and on the conceptualization document. The target devices of this application are Apple iOS (iPad) and Google Android tablets. This application will be ultimately built using the PhoneGap mobile framework.

You will be given a Conceptualization document as a reference and guidelines.

Requirements

  1. Video/Camera Selection
    - easy access to the new cameras through DVR/NVR devices, this will be a 2 level process; first select a device then a camera within a device.
    - there should be a selection of available video streams
    - allow bookmarking or tagging of selected configured videos that can serve as named templates for the purpose of quick retrieval, viewing, and switching to view video streams.
  2. Full Screen Monitoring
    - this is for remote live monitoring of single video stream
    - it should have the ability to control the PTZ (pan, tilt, and zoom) and change the video brightness.
    - ability to take still pictures
  3. Multiple Screen Monitoring
    - multiple simultaneous video streams from all the devices and cameras
    - no need to simultaneously control multiple cameras PTZ and brightness
    - should show 8 video streams and they should be configurable
    - ability to take still pictures from any displayed video stream, and have a screen to easily list these captured images for viewing
    - use the maximum area for the video and very minimal for remaining text (camera name etc.) on the screen.
  4. Settings/Configurations
    - selection of preferred language
    - allow video grid configuration for viewing multiple video streams
    - easy configuration for showing related video streams
  5. User Credentials
    - allow locking or prevent access to the application by user credentials

All of the required features have additional explanation in section "4.4 Task Requirements" of the provided conceptualization document.
