Challenge Summary

Welcome to the “WES Reskinning – Employers incident and injury report  Application Wireframes” contest.  This contest is to design an application that will allow employers or workers report an incident or injury that happens to the worker.

This contest purpose is to change the application layout and workflow without changing the business logic that is accomplished by the application. We want the application to be more intuitive and much easier for workers and employers to use.  At the end of this contest we want to see different ways of organizing content and different ways of collecting information through different designs of forms.

Round 1

Submission for client review
1) Initial wireframe of all the features mentioned in the Requirement section
2) Any note for the client about your submission

Round 2

Final Submission
1) Final wireframe submission with all the features mentioned in the Requirement section
2) Any note for the client about your submission

Primary Goals:

For this contest, we need wireframes that show different ways of organizing content and different ways of collecting information from our current “Employers incident and injury report” application but still keep the same functionality.

You task is to fix any usability problems and re-design this application layout so it flow more effectively and be intuitive to the user.  We have provided you with a EDES document about “Employers incident and injury report” application that can be found in attachment section. This EDES document contains all information about how the current application was built including layout elements, business logic and information that presented to the user.  Everything in the EDES document has already been implemented; it is only for your reference to understand the current application as you do not have access to the application unless you are a client of WorkSafeBC.  DO NOT COPY THE EDES, create your own flow for the worker or employer.

Here are the scenarios that needs to appear in the wireframes :
1.    Login/Logout
2.    General information
3.    Employer information
4.    Worker Details
5.    Worker Employment
6.    Incident Information
7.    Injury/Disease info
8.    Wage Details
9.    Return to Work (RTW)
10.    Review an injury Report – prior to submitting
11.    Submitting an Injury Report
12.    Add New Worker
13.    Confirmation
14.    Save an Injury Report
15.    Re-submitting an Injury Report
16.    Resume a Saved Report
17.    View Submitted F7 forms
18.    Review worker report (pre-filled Form 7)
19.    Additional information

Note : Do not depend on the current screenshot and the current layout arrangement for creating the your wireframes. You are required to use your creativity about how this application should show information to the employer. New functionality is welcome and encouraged if you think it will be useful to the employer.

Important : You are required to create additional documentation about your wireframes to indicate new functionality. You need to listed all the differences between your design and our current application. If we don’t think it is useful, we won’t count it against your submission.  Feel free to take risks.

Target Audience:
Employers of firms or someone who wants to report an injury of worker.
Important: Please see the About the Client attachment.

Judging Criteria:
How well the wireframes define how the user will work within the application.
Completeness of the wireframes and the specified scenarios.
Useful, new functionality.
How well your wireframes provide a consistent user flow.
How well you implement the required data and any suggestions, interactions and user flow you recommend (provide any notes or comments for the client)
