Challenge Summary

Welcome to “Employer and Small Business Centre – Landing Page and Experience Storyboard” contest. This contest purpose is to create new landing page design for “Employer and Small Business Centre” portal application.

The existing landing page can be found here :
http://www.worksafebc.com/employers_and_small_business/default.asp

At the end of this contest we want to make the landing page look and feel more professional, attractive, clean, less text heavy and more user friendly for our users (employers) so they can find information easily about what they are at the website to do.  The design should cater to both newly established employers who are doing business with us for the first time AND be user friendly to the employers who have done business with us for many years and are looking for very specific services/links.  It should also serve the needs of employers of both large and small businesses (who have different needs).

Please read the contest details below, and feel free to post your questions in forums.

Round 1

1)    (Required) Landing page design
2)    Supplementary pages or views to show the rest of the user experience (organization, flow or interactivity)

Round 2

Final design submission

Primary Goals:
There are a lot of things that a user might want to do when landing at the Employer and Small Business Center site.  On the current site, you'll find links to register for coverage, pay premiums, maintain a safe workplace, and what to do if a workplace incident or injury occurs. It is estimated that there are 15 - 25 web applications that will all share this common landing page experience. To make sure all of these applications are reachable by the user, you should design the experience to direct traffic quickly, cleanly, visually, and for the different types of users.  The current page is problematic because it is crowded with so many links and so much text.  With so much information presented in the landing page, it can easily confuse new users.

In this contest, we want you to create the new landing experience for the Employer and Small Business Centre portal application.

Technical Requirements :
- Dimension : Should support minimum resolution 1024 pixels wide and 600 pixels tall.
- Font : Open to designer, but prefereable web-safe font.
- Color : Open to designer.
- Branding Guidelines : No branding guidelines.
- References  to experiences we don’t like or want:
